Alec Arc: Never Forgotten

Episode 25

"How ya feeling?" Gray asked an awoken Dusk as she sat up from being out cold for 24 hours.

"Fine...thanks...I just needed some rest..." Dusk smiled as she looked down, she was now in short-shorts and a T-shirt, a large scar now on her right thigh, Gray looked down at it.

"He messed you up pretty bad didn't he?" Gray sighed.

"It's just a scar, it's fine," she smiled at him, "So the guild knows about us now?" she looked at him.

Gray looked away and scratched the back of his neck, "Yea...they took it pretty well, I spoke to Juvia and she's calmed down a bit, she just wants me to be happy I guess," he smiled and looked at her.

"That's good..." Dusk looked down, "I still can't get him off my mind...I slept through last night and the whole day today basically, I want to see him tomorrow..." she looked at him.

"Are you mad, the council wouldn't let you!" Gray looked at her shocked.

"They want me to come in for questioning on the Alec fiasco, I already have blackmail in mind..." she rested her cheek on her hand looking out the window.

"You're insane...but I love you for it," Gray chuckled kissing her forehead, "Do you want me to walk you home?" he stood up.

"No...I'll just stay here for tonight..." she smiled at him, he nodded and walked out, Dusk pulled the blankets back over her as she put her head into the pillow and suprisingly fell asleep easily.

========= Next Day =========
-------------- Dusk's POV ----------------

I awoke early in the guild and snapped my fingers, my clothes changed to a long sleeve dark purple shirt, black pants tucked into long boots, I stretched and headed out into the main guild hall. Rowdy as always, Gray was waiting for me at the front doors, he had decided to go with me to the council, I walked out of the doors with him.

"You can wear boots with heels all you want, I'm still taller," he teased as we walked, I rolled my eyes as we made it out of Magnolia, we were suddenly stopped by guards of the magic council along with thier officer, Lahar.

"Miss. Shadows, allow us to escort you to the council..." Lahar said as he looked at a magic vehicle, Gray and I looked at eachother and nodded at him, he led us inside with his 2 guards and Gray and I sat opposite of them, "Tea?" he offered, I took a cup and took a sip setting it down.

"What is this about?" I raised my eyebrow as Gray sipped his tea.

"The council wanted me to escort you so you didn't run into any trouble on the way there, and I would like a small fill in of what you are going to tell them, and to remind you that hearing a demon of Zeref was in the midst of the people..." he said seriously.

"So this is to make sure I don't blackmail...well excuse you I've been dealing with Alec basically my entire life, I will say what I want about him to who I want, I only tell those I trust but I have a request of the council that if it isn't fufiled I will reveal who Alec truly is..." I said smirking as I took another sip, Lahar seemed shocked.

"Excuse me...Miss. Shadows..."

"Dusk...it's Dusk..." I interupted, "I will speak what I want and I rather speak to the council about this then you..." I glared, he seemed to get the message and shut up. It was a quick and quiet ride to the council, I stepped out of the carriage after Lahar and his guards along with Gray, the chairman was waiting for us, I strode past him and headed to the main room, he followed beside me. I strided down the halls with the chairman by my side, Gray behind me looking around at the strange frog guards. We finally reached the council room and the chairman went up to his seat, Lahar stood at the door to the room as Gray and I stood there looking up at the council. I sighed and explained what happened with Alec and his intentions and how he's gone, "Alec is a great threat but I urge the council not to get involved, he is my problem and I know how to fight him," I pleaded with them, they mumbled some words to eachother and nodded.

"Very well, we won't," the chairman started, "Lahar said you had a request in the ride here and you could use this blackmail information about Alec against us, this worries us Dusk, we trust you and your reputation is great in the community, what is your request?" he seemed a little scared.

"I would like to speak with Jellal Fernandez..." I said completely serious, the council looked at me shocked and spoke with eachother.

"Why?" the chairman questioned, I explained how my parents had appeared and told me about Jellal.

"I need to speak with him, I know 100% that he gained this information and please...I've been thinking I've been alone so long...I just..." I wiped my eyes tears forming, "He's the only blood family I have left..." I looked down, "I'm sorry for threatening you I just..." I was cut off.

"Very well, you may see him, but you will go alone, Mr. Fullbuster will not be allowed in, you may go in the cell in with him to speak with him..." the chairman looked at me, Lahar seemed shocked, "Your reputation procedes you Dusk...we trust you..."

"Thank you...I promise I won't try anything I just desprately want to speak with him..." I bowed to them and a frog guard came in and escorted me to the maximum jail cell he was in, Lahar followed. I walked through the doors and shielded my eyes from the bright light. My eyes slowly adjusted and in the middle of the room there he was...Jellal...sitting with his back to us, leaning on his box, it seemed pretty large that I could fit in it. I was escorted once again on a floating plateform and stepped off, I took a deep breath and stepped inside the box cell, they had made it one way so they could see me and Jellal but we couldn't see out. He looked at me, his eyes pierced my gaze and he slowly stood up.

"J-jellal..." I said my voice breaking.

"Dusk..." he said quietly, I quickly ran up and hugged him, tears falling from my eyes, "Don't cry...everything is ok..." he held me close, comforting me.

"I'm sorry! Sorry I forgot you!" I held him close.

"It wasn't your fault...I should be sorry...I'm starting to regain my memories and that coming back...it makes me happy to know I'll never be alone..."

"I have to go soon Jellal..."

"I know...just know Dusk...when I get out of here...I'll see you again..." we released eachother and I wiped my eyes, we smiled at eachother.

"You were never forgotten..."
