GMG Arc: Close Call

Episode 32

Day 3 of the games...I was preparing myself in my room as I was now on Fairy Tail Team B when suddenly there was a knock.

"Who is it?" I looked over at my door.

"Who do you think," Grays voice came from the other side, I chuckled as he walked in and closed the door. I looked over at him as I was struggling to zip up my shirt a bit, he rolled his eyes and walked over helping me. My face blushed a bit at the sudden action, "Thanks," I smiled.

"You know I don't mind anything if it has to do with your tits," he smirked and looked down at me as he kissed my head.

"Right, just remember we are on opposite teams," I poked his nose and we headed out the the colosseum.

The games had begun filling in, I went to the B Teams podium and met with the others, Laxus, Juvia, Mira, and Gajeel.

"Good to see you again Dusk," Laxus smiled, he glanced down and saw my scar from our fight long ago and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Don't worry about it," I smiled at him noticing his eyes, "You've changed," I patted him on the back and went to the edge and leaned on it as I faced them, "So who's going for today's event?"

They looked at each other and then looked at me and smiled, "Why not kick it off with a bang," Gajeel grinned at me. 

I smirked and nodded, "It will be done," I got up and went down to the arena as they called everyone from the teams down to compete. They revealed the game 'Pandemonium' and we all drew numbers, 8, great. As they explained the game it sounded like something I could do easily, and apparently, Erza was up to the challenge, as she was #1, she challenged all 100 monsters, causing many gasps from the audience, as well as many laughs from Fairy Tail. 

It was a drama filled fight, Erza took on every monster with ease and grace, reequipping and reequipping. I watched as she pulled off a few moves I taught her with the more difficult monsters. Finally she reached the last monster, the strongest. Then I saw something I never would, my own body on a stake in the monsters crushed hand, dead. The entire audience gasped and looked down at me as I tilted my head, Erza just furrowed her brow and growled. 

"You think I'd fall for that...you fool of a monster..." Erza growled, "You don't know Dusk, you are nothing compared to her, I may struggle against all these monsters but if she was here she would defeat you all without breaking a sweat!" she yelled as she charged forward, a sly smile slowly rose on my lips as I glanced around at the audience, also as Erza defeated the last monster and the crowd erupted into cheer. 

Since Erza had taken on all of the monsters we were faced against the MPF machine to see who was strongest, as the others went, Jura had scored the highest so far out of all of us, then it was my turn. Wonderful. I slowly cracked my knuckled and stepped up, the crowd had gone silent, I guess showing off won't hurt anyone, I smirked and cast my hands down to the ground and started slowly mumbling the ancient language of shadow, dark roots shot through the group and toward the magic power finder, there was a big explosion and when the dust faded I stood there. The MPF was gone, no numbers, just a crater, I grinned and the crowd went crazy and the judges were in shock. I slowly walked off the field with my hands in my pockets back toward the Team B Booth. As I was walking and glanced down and noticed my finger tips were a little black, I gulped and shoved it further into my pocket until it went away, luckily it did when I got to the booth. All of Team B patted me on the back and were in shock and were very happy about what I did with the MPF. God that was a close call with my demon form, I thought to myself as we watched the battles go on for the day.
