Episode 26

I sat on my bed quietly thinking, looking through a book. I was laying on my stomach, my elbows on my pillow for support, in pj's that were a little to big for me. Eyes flowing back and forth on the words, the ancient words I could understand, the only light in Fairy Hills on was mine, I guess I didn't notice when a certain ice wizard walked in from his spare key to my apartment. Before I knew it I saw something flash over me and I was grabbed by the waist and pulled back against something. I was scared at first before I realized whose arms were around me, "Can't a girl put her book away..." I smiled a bit.

"Fine..." Gray chuckled and released me and I sat up leaning over, I set my book down and grabbed my hair brush. Gray groaned in impatience as I brushed it out, my arm was sore and tired but I pushed through, "You're tired, lemme do it..." I felt him sat up and glanced back.

"You can't do hair," I rolled my eyes chuckling.

"You and Erza are my best friends, I can do hair," he took the hair brush and turned my head away from him, his brushes were soft and gentle, I felt him start to braid my hair, it felt strange to have hair pulled away from my right eye, he suddenly stopped, "I'll continue if you hum that song your mom used to sing to you," he smiled, his breath against my neck, I blushed.

"F-fine..." I gave in.

"You're cute when you're flustered," he teased and continued as I started the sweet melody at a hum, I didn't want to sing so I just hummed the tune. As soon as Gray had finished he tosed my brush aside and used his magic to shut off the lights, he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him, turning me around so I was facing him, "You can't hide from me..."

My eyes dropped as I felt tears form, "It's still hard to take in..." his hand reached up and wiped my eyes and I moved myself closer to him, to his warmth.

"I know...just know I'm always here when you need to cry...when you need to be held..." I knew he was smiling.

"Thank you Gray...for everything..."

"You know I'll always stand beside you, always," he reached down and gently tilted up my chin, pressing a soft kiss on my lips. I smiled and curled up against him, my eyes slowly falling, my mind drifting to sleep.

The next few(ish) chapters won't be any arcs because I need to rewatch Tenrou and get ideas, I don't know when it will be posted next but the next eh idk how many chapters will be fillers and OVA-ish I hope you all will enjoy!
