Tension built up before the impact, all I felt was air. Then the hard earth around me. The impact of the ground had taken my breath away. I coughed amd wheezed a few times before I was basically scared straight out of my socks. Rocket landed right next to me with a thump. I jolted to the side, trying to move any body part away that he could accidentally land on. I took a deep breath before looking up to stare into the friendly brown eyes and cute flashing grin. Her eyes were full of joy as she looked at me, it seemed like she was thankful for something. Her eyes just seemed to want to say everything she's been keeping to herself.
She held out her hand to help me up, I gently took her hand into mine. She hoisted me up onto my feet, brushing some of the dust off of my shirt. I smirked in response, she must have seen that. Because next thing I know is I get punched playfully on my shoulder. " You're an idiot, you know that. Right?"
"Maybe I am an idiot, maybe I'm not. But if I am, aren't I the cutest one you've met." I chuckled at the sight of her cheeks flashing red, then returning to the pale color they once were.
"Maybe. Just maybe."
