As we would walk the three men would shoot any of the creatures that would venture too close to us. It was comforting to know I didn't have to freak out every time one of them was heading for me, but I was still squeamish at the thought of the men not noticing one. I pushed away those type of thoughts from my mind and focused at the task at hand. Where are we going?
My thought was interrupted by a tap on my shoulder. I spun my head around to meet two crystal blue eyes staring into mine, my lips cracked into a smile. "Hey. My name's Sean, nice to meet you. And I just wanted to say sorry for how boss was treatin ya. He gets a little overboard sometimes." Sean spoke quietly, as if not wanting to draw any attention. He was walking next to me now, talking as he went.
"It's ok. It wasn't really that bad. I just freak out when I'm near a lot of people i barely know." I said in reply.
"Wait? Don't ya know the girl? I mean, I figured that you two would at least know one another?"
"Nah. I don't even know her name. But she seemed to know me, at least that's what it seemed like." I said with a confused look stamped onto my face.
"Hm...thats kinda strange if ya ask me." He said staring at his feet while he moved.
"Yeah, tell me about it." I said, chuckling under my breath and smiling. He chuckled in return and looked at me and smiled.

Maybe being a prisoner wouldn't be so bad...
