"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask earlier, but what happened to your leg?" Sean asked, raising a bushy eyebrow.
"Oh...um." I said looking around for a reason other than to say, "Oh Yeah! I just kinda had gotten bit by a giant creature which I had nicknamed the beast. Me and the beast fought until I smacked him with a drawer in my kitchen and I stabbed him in the head with a knife, killing him. But he came back to life and now he's stalking me, and he saved mine and the girl's lives from a zombie hoard." If I had said that they'd all think I was crazy, or infected.
"Well? I'm waitin'" Sean said as he narrowed his eyes.
"Um...well, I can say one thing for sure, I'm not infected." As I said that Sean's expression lightened up. At least I finally said something right.
"That's good to hear, but if you're not infected, then what are you?" Sean asked, a sly grin forming on his face.
"You won't believe me." I stated, a smile dawned onto my face as I knew that he would be curious.
"Try me."
"Ok. But you asked for it." Then I went on explaining my story about how I took down the beast with my own two hands, (and with some help from some knives.) And about how the beast had an owner and I showed him the locket. I even told him my promise of finding the girl, even if it was the last thing I would do.
"Wow." His eyes were still wide with disbelief. I could tell that he was wondering if everything I had said was the truth.
Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something black flash across a rooftop. As I looked over, the object was coming straight for us, and fast.
