The girl tossed her gun at the man and he tucked it into the pocket on his flannel shirt, which was surprisingly deep for a shirt pocket. He then beckoned his hand to me, I gingerly placed my pocket knife into his hand then stepped back awkwardly. " Search them for anymore weapons."
"Finally. I don't wanna stay out here as zombie bait, and I'm hopin no one thinks I am." Said the green haired man, looking relieved. He then walked up to me and began to pat me down. I tensed up, clearly looking uncomfortable. I could feel my cheeks burning up immediately, I hoped he wouldn't notice. He got done almost immediately, and looked at me, " This one's  clear!"
He smirked and raised his eyebrows at me before stepping back. I couldn't help but smile. " Found a knife on this one!" Stated the man who was checking the girl. Then he handed the knife to the main man.
I looked back to the green haired man to find that he was still smiling at me, he seemed out of thought. Maybe he was daydreaming about something. He disnt seem to notice that I was still there.
"Alright! Let's get out of here before we become a meal. Keep an eye on them two, I don't want them running off."  Stated the main man, starting to walk off in the opposite direction.
I turned to the girl, she was clearly furious. She was staring at the back of the main man's head like she had lasers shooting out of her eyes. "Do you know what's happening, or where we're going?" I asked, hoping her mood would lighten up.
"No idea." She answered bluntly, clearly not caring to talk. I took the hint and stayed quiet during our pursuit to the unknown land ahead.
