My jaw literally dropped upon hearing what she said. She looked so serious that time that made me so tensed. Syempre, hindi ganoon kadali ang hinihingi niya diba?

It's Sunday morning at kaming dalawa lang ni Kuya sa bahay. Nagsimba si Ate at out of the country naman sina Dad. They'll be back in summer time.
I was in the kitchen and preparing our lunch later when I heard Ate's voice. Kakarating lang ata niya from church. As I glanced at the clock, I saw that it's quarter to twelve. Almost lunchtime. May dinaanan pa siguro si Ate kaya tanghali na nakauwi.
"Hey Gid! Look who's our visitor today!" Her voice is filled with excitement. Hindi ko pa siya nakikita since inaayos ko ang hapagkainan. Nanay Helen's helping me, too.
Nasa sala kasi silang dalawa ni Kuya, medyo dinig ang boses ni Ate dito since malapit lang ang kusina at sala.
"Nay, punta muna ako sa may pool. Nakalimutan ko kasi doon ang cellphone ko. Pakitawag na rin po sina Kuya para makakain na tayo."
I immediately went outside using the kitchen backdoor. Mas malapit kasi doon ang pool. I grabbed my phone the moment I saw it lying on the table.
I immediately swiped my device upon seeing that it has one message received.
Babe, are you home?
That was a text from Prof. and it was sent minutes ago. I tried to call her but it keeps on ringing.
I shrugged off my shoulders and went back inside. Papasok palang ako ay narinig ko na agad ang malakas na boses ni Ate at Kuya. They seemed so happy, though.
Ang malakas na tunog ng phone kong nahulog ang nagpatigil sa boses ni Kuya Gid at Ate Keirah. Because of the loud thud of the phone on the floor, napaangat ng tingin ang bisita.
"Seriously guys, is this just a coincidence
meet up or are you now back together?"
That was what I heard from Kuya Gid bago paman ako makapasok at bago paman mahulog ang phone ko.
