Sheiia
It has been a week after the Youth Camp. The Final Exam's done and we have two more weeks left before the school year ends. It was Friday and I was about to go to school when my father called me. Yes, they're here with no exact time kung kelan sila babalik.
"Sheiia, I want you to go to a dinner meeting tomorrow night. Business partner ko iyon. I'll be going too kapag natapos na ang meeting ko. I'll text you the place and time."
Dad's voice seemed to be final. Yung tipong hindi na ako makakatanggi pa.
"Don't disappoint me."
The only choice left is for me to agree. Baka wala naman sigurong masamang intensyon si Dad. Afterall, it's a business meeting. I just wonder kung bakit kelangan andun ako.
I let out a sigh of defeat. "Yes, Dad."
I went to school without thinking too much. There's no more lesson discussion left, only requirements and papers to be passed and submitted.
Inantay ko si Ash bago umuwi. Of course, sa parking lot ko nalang siya inantay and I made sure that there's no more people left in the premises.
"Hey babe." She kissed me on the lips as we are inside her car. Buti na lang at tinted itong salamin ng Mercedes niya.
"Ash, you're so clingy!" Saway ko naman sa kanya. Habang tumatagal kasi, ang clingy na ni Ash. Minsan showy siya sa school lalo na sa classroom kaya nakakatakot na baka mahalata kami anytime dahil sa ginagawa niya.
"Im sorry babe. I just missed you." She held my hand and showered it with light kisses.
Damn, my girlfriend is so sweet.
"Parang lagi mo akong namimiss nuh?" Pang-aasar ko naman sa kanya. She just pouted her lips at tila nagpa-cute pa lalo. Ang kulit lang.
"I always miss you every seconds of my life. Is it bad?I just want to cherish every moment with you."
"Grabe ka. Oo na, wala na akong sinabi. By the way, may business meeting pala mamaya si Dad over dinner. Kasama daw ako."
I saw her brows furrowed. Mukha siyang nagtatanong base sa ekspresyon ng mukha niya.
"Dad just told me earlier this morning. Alam mo naman, ayokong biguin si Dad. Wala naman akong nakikitang masama sa dinner na sinasabi niya."
She held my hand tightly at looked at my eyes directly. Yung tingin niya nanunuot. Naninigurado. Nagtatanong.
"Are you sure it's just a business meeting?"
Kahit ako ay nagtataka rin pero I chose to trust Dad. After all, he wouldn't let me be in danger naman siguro.
"Of course."
Narinig ko siyang nagpakawala ng malalim na buntunghininga. Yung tila napipilitan lang.
Mahigpit kong pinisil ang kanyang mga kamay.
"I love you, Ash. Always remember that."
She gave me a half smile at marahan ding pinisil ang aking mga kamay.
"And so do I, babe. So do I."

Si Manong Louie ang nagdrive sa akin papuntang meeting place nina Dad at ng kameeting niya.
I felt this throbbing heartbeat when we arrived at the meeting place. I am not familiar with the address, but the restaurant's name is too familiar.
