Gabriel and Shadow drew there blade less hilts "Good, now let me tell you what these weapons were." "While they are just ordinary hilts, they contain a link to any soul that they deem worthy, they were not made of steel nor iron, not adamant or runic ores, they are weapons, legendary ones of the soul."
The Jolly man stopped for a second, he drew his duel long swords "Like soul essence and moon glow here, there both soul weapons."
"By the way, I forget a lot of things, so I can't quite remember if I told you that I can't remember my own name but my title is the blind warrior."
"Back to this pressing matter it seems that your souls are quite powerful, strong for sure yet you don't know hot to enact them, or use them."
"Your souls, are.. well they come when you tell them too, or they come and go, it depends on if you're a passive wielder letting your soul do as it pleases or an adamant one, using your soul for whatever you wish. I often find it helpful to use them in both manners, each way can be attained through training of the mind."
The blind warrior held his hilts up high and two razor sharp blades shot from them, they glowed a daring silver at first but it faded.
"The aura, shows how strong your soul is, most people don't have one, since i've been so busy being un-needed well, mines weakened a bit."
"But all you have to do, is tell yourself that you want it, that you need it, your weapon, your soul." "So hold your hilts up high, give it a try"
He seemed to have returned to his jolly state. Shadow and Gabriel looked at there hilts, they wished for there souls to show, they stood for what seemed like an eternity for the edges to glow.
Yet, nothing, the hilts remained hilts, they did nothing.
"Good, good"
He laughed.
"How exactly is this good?" Gabriel glared at him, he seemed to have not noticed though, "Well, it takes years to master the skill alone, but I've seen your souls correspond with one another, together you will be mighty indeed, however i see when you hold the hilts up your souls fluctuate."
"A soul fluctuates when it wishes to be used, this will be quick, I'll try to get them to activate passively."
The blind warrior didn't wait a second, he rushed towards Shadow and Gabriel at a blinding speed striking them in the stomachs, "Well, it doesn't do any good if you don't try to at least defend." He laughed.
Shadow and Gabriel felt a twinge of pain but it was relieved quickly, "alright, lets try again" the blind warrior rushed once again, Shadow and Gabriel held there hilts out at a defensive position and he still struck them without effort.
"Well, we have time, try to force them to come out, yet be content with yourselves, remember this will only happen if you really want it too." The blind warrior turned away and skipped happily off into the field.
"So much for training" Shadows expression was that of a person who was just cheated out of a pretty penny. "well, I guess we can train ourselves? Nothing seems to work for us except sparing, lets try to get our souls to emanate from these hilts as we pretend to spar." Gabriel smiled.
"Good idea"
They wen't back and forth, swinging at each other with sword hilts almost like they did as children and sticks, they always had sparred, and through this they bonded and grew strong together. They went at it for a half an hour, they did not hear the blind warrior creep up unto them, he silently dismissed his blades and rushed Shadow and Gabriel, without noise he swung at Shadow and Gabriel quickly. They caught a glimpse of the the blind warrior and turned to the defensive side. In a glow of darkness and light there hilts emanated a long sleek blade and a helix edge.
