The area surrounding Issac and Equinox remained dark, until the faintest silver light illuminated the area and Issac stood tall, blades to Equinox's throat, he stood completely untouched.
"Equinox, are you prepared to die?" Issac looked down at him.
"What do you mean, clearly you are the one who is prepared.." he looked around.
"What..?" Equinox's body, nearly cut through entirely, each of his limbs barely held on by a tendon or part of bone.
"What.. happened?" He asked.
"You know that little illusionary madness magic you have.?" Issac looked at him contently.
"yes.."
"Don't you remember, I am the creator of it?" Issac smiled.
"oh.. yeah... So, this is the end?" he looked at Issac.
"Well, would you rather me send you back to Thaddious, to face his punishment?" Issac looked at Equinox.
"No, but.. I could start off clean.." Equinox cried out.
"No, you can't, you were a wonderful student and a wonderful man, yet you are mad, you have slain how many people?" "All for my pitiful brother."
"I'll leave you here, weather you chose to die, or to move on, it's your choice now.." Issac withdrew his weapons and approached Gabriel.
"You didn't listen, you weren't supposed to touch his sword." Issac smiled.
"yea so when do I die?" Gabriel looked at him.
"You don't, you will however be very sick soon." Issac replied.
"it didn't harm your soul, only slightly infect it." he smiled.
"Alright, well we aught to move on shouldn't we?" Shadow looked around.
"Yea, probably, you know that was an awfully quick fight.." Gabriel looked at Issac.
"He's not even at ten percent of his full power, these guys are recovering slowly.. I wonder why it's been so slow.." Issac looked around.
"We're only regaining power so slowly, because Thaddious keeps taking our power, doesn't he realize he is ten times our strength.. it wont be too long before we're all there though.." Equinox laughed.
"And on that day, you'll be a challenge to us." Shadow laughed.
"Oh.. trust me, he'd kill you." Issac laughed.
"Such faith in us, it seems you hold." Gabriel glared at him.
"No, it's not that I lack faith, it's that I know how powerful they are after all I defeated them all my self." Issac smiled.
They all walked away, leaving Equinox laying on the ground, pinned to it by his blade that was lunged through his stomach.
"Wonder what's killing this.." Shadow looked around the tunnel they were currently in. There were no vines, however the tunnel was black almost as if it had been drained of color and life alike.
Shadow managed to be absent minded at the wrong time and fell into a chasm that the tunnel held, "good you've found another one." Issac hopped down, as did Gabriel.
"This is the last tunnel" Issac smiled.
"And you know this how?" Shadow inquired as he rubbed his lower spine.
"Oh, things can only get so dead, generally they are clearly deader towards the source of the death." Issac pointed down the tunnel, the matter in the area was decomposing entirely, bits and pieces floated in the air. They swiftly ran down the hallway, only to encounter the heart of the tree. It was a simple room, yet a plant, large and vile seemed to be protruding from the center, it's tendrils that at first seemed to be vines extended into several different holes.
