Shadow felt accomplished, he had saved his friend although it felt as if he were floating in an ocean and when he came too and his sight had returned he met death a man cloaked with a scythe yet he had seemed considerably less cold then Shadow had expected.
"So i'm walking with you?" Shadow asked death, he simply nodded.
"You know, i'd prefer it if you'd talk." Shadow smiled.
"Last person I talked too, tricked me into giving him limitless power." Death grunted.
"Good, I don't seek that I wish to be your friend." Shadow smiled.
"Good, your wish shan't be granted." Death grunted again.
"Good, be rude about it, if I'm to walk with you then you'll be my friend." Shadow glared at Death.
"And if i'm not to be, what do you expect to do?" Death replied.
"I'll stand here." Shadow chuckled.
"Enjoy purgatory." Death laughed.
"I can enjoy it, I have enough patience, and the knowledge to know that you don't hold the souls anymore so if you don't take me to the Arc then you'll be letting the Arc down." Shadow grinned.
"Good point.. fair game.." Deaths hollow voice seemed to show he was beaten.
"Don't act so down, i'm not anyone to be afraid of nor am I one to be bothersome." Shadow grinned.
'I fear no mortal man.' Death replied.
"That's not good, see people like me don't stop getting stronger, what if someone ate the arc of souls which in turn gave them all of that power? You'd just be feeding them that power over and over again making their power a limitless expanse of devastation, you should be afraid mortals are idiots and they tend to do stupid things to give themselves purpose." Shadows grin faded.
"Take me to the arc so I can live the rest of my natural known being as a prisoner to that place." Shadow bellowed.
"You know you can simply walk out?" Deaths tone seemed to change to that of a cheerful man.
"Really?" Shadow questioned.
"Yea, Thaddious broke the gate, he can walk out as can his troops no one else will try because they're afraid i'll come to get them but honestly they could all leave, i'd just eat the arc of souls and not care about it, Thaddious's rampage is wrong, but I cant do anything about it." Death pointed towards the sky, "That is his limit".
Death swung his scythe ripping a void in the world and he walked with Shadow inwards towards the arc of souls.
Within the rift, a large twisting expanse of power, the arc was violently writhing around it seemed to resemble that of a snakes mating ball yet it was more of a violent straight polygonal figure that snapped and overlapped, it was strange indeed.
"Alright here you are, good talking to you I have some other people to collect." Death chuckled as he kicked Shadow into the Arc of souls which forced him inside of it.
Within the arc, the walls were white perfectly clean, the floors and ceiling were of the same white, everything was black and white even the color had faded from this purgatory of a place.
Shadow encountered hundreds of souls, finally he found a man cowering in the corner. "Blood is red, the ocean is blue, you cant escape because arc watches you.." he rocked back and forth singing the twisted nursery rhyme like tune.
"Hey you, creepy guy, were is the exit." Shadow chucked.
The mans head snapped back like a demon playing tricks, he revolved it eighty degrees to the right and pointed down the hallway, "First area to your left, beware." he snapped back to being a madman.
