The first round was between the man whom wore tattered rags, he faced off against a man who had grabbed light armor and two daggers he held them backwards in an abnormal position.
The man with daggers, on the shout of the word "Fight" rushed at the man only to miss every cut he made attempts to make on the ragged mans face and back.
Instead of fighting the man wom wore rags simply dodged around and finally when the time was right in a flash his fist took his opponent down, one blow to the back of the skull.
"Round one, finished Atrythamadus has won, please return to the gearing room and take a rest from this point round two will commence."
The man whom was shouting was barely audiable over the sound of the shouting watchers, they where in awe at the man whom wore rags.
Shadow simply observed the man whom re-entered the room, "Atyrthamadus is it?" Shadow chuckled.
"yes." the man coldly replied.
"That was a good fight." He grinned.
"Round two, Begin!"
Gabriel stood next to Shadow gazing through the bars that only slightly obscured their view, two mages fighting at full strength, a horrifieng thing to witness, flames, frost, even the air itself tore the walls from the arena scattering debree everywhere.
The man, whom wore the robes of blue shouted out "Open now, rift of eternal frost!" A long slender rapier exploaded from a tome he held in his hand, he rushed towards his oppenent who could hardly move the cold made his bones ache. Three quick stabs to the opposing mages belly, and the fight was over.
"Round two, goes to daarius, Sage of ice!"
"please, return now Daarius, round three will soon commence"
Round after round, the fights continued, Shadow and Gabriel each had their turns with amature warriors that they simply knocked unconcious.
Finally, the time had come for the final rounds.
"Preliminary round one, Begin, Tetera versus Atyrthamadus!"
The woman, Shadow knew her yet he was displeased with himself, how did he not notice her earlier? She was the woman he had met in the past, when he sacraficed his life for the one he was searching for, in the Arc.
Atyrthamadus simply stated "I will not harm a woman" and the round was won, he faced the archers of the kingdom, they unleased a barrage of arrows he simply walked through, enraged he grasped hold of the head of the archery group.
"I will crush your skull, making me fight a woman, go against my morals, pitiful imperial scum!" he shouted as the archer squad leader cried out Atyrthamadus's hand crushed his skull inwards.
The squad unleased another barrage of arrows and after three of them had died at Atyrthamadus's hand the man in rags finally bled out.
"Preliminary round, Number one has been Changed, it is now the two havok reakers we encountered earlier this day!"
Shadow and Gabriel stepped out into the arena, "Finally, we can settle the score" "heh" they had chuckled for a moment.
"Begin!" the announcer cried out.
Once again, neither of them managed to land a hit on eachother, with each passing attack bits and pieces of the arena exploaded around them, they had started to incorperate the magic they had once learned into their fight, the fire magic they attempted was innacurate yet powerful roasting alive several of the viewers of the fight.
The general finally shouted out to stop, a scream at the top of his lungs and everything was silenced.
"Fine, to make this interesting it'll be a four man free for all." Tetera and the Sage entered the battle field.
Gabriel looked at the sage, Tetera at Shadow.
"Hey I know you.." She grinned.
"Why are you going by tetera I thought your name was terra" he wispered back.
"It is, I'm wanted here." She chuckled.
"Well, let the fight commence." The general smiled.
The sage slamed his staff into the ground, the winds kicked up around them as ice flowed from his body, they were surrounded in a giant ice storm.
"Shut yourselves up, come over here to me while they cannot see."
He grinned while he intensified the magic.
"We're getting out of here, When I release the spell a Gust of wind will travel from my saff, Use that to travel upwards then come down upon them with the might of your blades, you can settle your petty quarells later."
With a perfectly timed exploasion everything in and around the arena was frozen solid, the burst of wind sent the three warriors flying they had quickly killed everyone around them, the general however dove down on the sage whom stabed him mid air six times with his rapier, only.. the sage had a blade cut through his flesh.
"Urg.." he bellowed out as he ripped the blade from his chest.
"You three, do not let this tome fall into the hands of darkness, take it, learn from it, the arts of the long lost magic, of the void..."
With the sages final words his body morphed into a crystal of frost.
"You two, stop it, do you know remember your friendship?!" Terra cried out, as Shadow and Gabriel started making cuts at eachother again.
"No we remember nothing!" Gabriel shouted back.
"You are Shadow, You are Gabriel, best friends, Warriors of twilight, Shadow told me all about you two, best friends for your entire lives yah are, now stop this meaningless quarell." She grunted.
Shadow and Gabriel hit the ground as they struck eachother harshly with their fists, and with that blow their memory returned.
"We can leave now" Terra held her Hands up to the sky, "Gate of light, Passing glory, return us to our realm"
The same scene that had occurred when Shadow and Gabriel were ripped through the gate of darkness had just been rein-acted however while being pulled through the gate of light they felt comfort.
Upon returning Shadow and Gabriel found themselves lying on the ground in some foreign city, Terra was no were to be found, both exausted they desided to just sleep on the ground, neither of them felt as if they could move regardless.

A strange man, wearing an abnormal set of clothes and lenses of glass that were dark as coal entered the Sanctuary in the town Shadow and Gabriel had just arrived in, he held up his cross and lunged it downwards into the ground and with it he drew a ruinic symbol on the ground.
"Estimus Entia Zentri antinuu antuda estimus" he shouted, the ground glowed a bright blue, ruinic symbols appeared around the Sanctuary.
"Ruinic art, lost Sanctity.." a voice chuckled.
"Yes, I will seal you here, at least until my work is done." the man chuckled.
"Why would you want to seal away, a simple musician?" the other man grinned.
"You're not really fooling me, you know who you are." the man left the Sanctuary sealed tightly by ruinic magic.
