Chapter 25: The Tower of broken dreams

"Once upon a time, there lay a tower far to the north dedicated to a legendary sorceress, more of a god but was never truly acknowledged as one. Her disciples always viewed her as a god, her powers created this landscape we see now." 

"Oh..? How can one be so powerful that they can create an entire place like this.."

"Well, She'd inherited some dark magics and attended a school for promised students, but her spirit was far too powerful to be contained."

"They nominated her the guardian of ice, there are several guardians, Ice, Fire, Earth, Wind, Dark, Light, Balance, Time, the silver and gold guardians and the guardian of the soul." 

"She was to guard the element of ice, nominated by the Silver and Gold Guardian, technically they are the only real godlike beings known to this world, but because everyone needs hope humans created faith" 

"Her tower was destroyed in a great war long ago, the Guardian of fire, and that of Earth had a special friendship as Ice and Wind had, they contested each other and eventually a catastrophe occurred."

"The guardian of balance naturally contested them, all of them not picking sides. Master of the elements the god of balance stopped the catastrophe from growing any larger, the winds tore the ground asunder, the flames burned the world around them and the air, the earth was shifted and shook violently, and the ice covered the landscape we stand on now"

" The guardian of balance took their powers, and the Silver and Gold Guardian took their rights away and sealed every guardians soul, until one where to be awoken and placed in any harms way, or in the case where they would be able or willing to work together to pursue prosperity."

"In order to open the Gate to the arc, well.. It's not really a gate, it's a gate to deaths dimension, the place where Arc rests, he is but  a child and contains everyone's soul within his."

"Death watches over arc, reaping souls as he is intended to do but he doesn't give the child any more punishment, Arc sleeps, and in order to open the gate all of the guardians minus the Silver, Gold, Soul and Balance guardian need to die, the gate is sealed by a magical seal created by the guardians in worries that Arc would escape, but he's been slowly waking up the more that Thaddious kills."

"He already killed the fire, wind and earth guardian, and undoubtedly will kill the guardian of ice, with any means necessary, Arc will be awoken and the end of the world will come."

"oh, so there are guardians.. and the great wars of the past arent documented?"

"No, the wars weren't documented, well they were by troops but the Gold and Silver guardian destroyed everything and locked all of the guardians abilities discluding that of the Guardian of Gold, however when the ice guardian dies the powers of each will be restored."

"Would that be bad?"

"No, not necessarily, but it could be if the guardian of balance wishes to hold a vendetta"

"Beyond that, I don't remember much of the gold and silver guardian, and I personally have an extremely close connection to the guardian of balance, but we've talked enough for now, Saria you're staying with me, Gabriel, Shadow needs you so go forth my friend, hopefully my magic helped in tandem with the elixir to heal you enough for your soul to take over"

In the mean time, Shadow observed very closely the documents that were crushed under the ice, pages frozen solid and barely legible but what Shadow could make out is the knowledge of the war at least the guardian of ices participation in it.
