Stefan had left a few moments ago as Niklaus explained to me what had happened after I was gone.
"Wow, when I leave, everything turns to shit," I said in amusement. "Maybe I should come back."
"Nope. I don't think so. You and Kol should be celebrating. You are engaged!" Niklaus said with a shake of his head.
I sighed, "Yes, we should be. Yet you still managed to lure me back by daggering Rebekah."
He nodded his head and said, "Yes, but that wasn't why she was daggered."
"Yes, yes. I know; she pissed you off. That doesn't mean you should have daggered her though! Did our talk before I left mean that little to you?" I spoke after pushing off the doorframe and walked over to Niklaus.
Niklaus sighed and avoided my gaze, "What's done is done."
I nodded my head and bit my lip, "Fine. Guess I just need to find a way to get her back."
"I cannot let you do that, Alexandria," Niklaus said as he shook his head.
"And I cannot let you dagger your siblings and butcher your relationships with them!" I half shouted at him.
When he did not respond, I huffed and walked outside the mansion. I got into my car and drove to Mystic Grill.
I walked inside and spotted Kol at the bar. Typical. I strolled over and sat beside him.
"Hey, how was your talk with Nik?" He asks as he turns to me.
"Not too well. He didn't tell me where she is and apparently, bad things have happened since you and I left," I responded after taking a sip of whatever Kol was drinking.
He sighed and asked, "Such as?"
"The Brotherhood of the Five. Does that mean anything to you?" I inquired thoughtfully.
Kol nodded his head with a gulp, "The Brotherhood of the Five? I have definitely heard of them. You?"
I shook my head no and snorted, "Never heard of them. Some kind of cult?"
Kol's face showed no emotion, "They are five Vampire Hunters who were supernaturally gifted by a descendent of Qetsiyah."
"Who is she?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"She is only the most powerful witch of the Traveler subculture. Qetsiyah created the first immortality spell and the cure along with it,"Kol spoke with darkened eyes.
My eyes widened and I looked around to make sure no one was listening, "Before our time?"
He nodded gravely, "Yes. She fell in love and planned to take the immortality spell with her lover. He betrayed her and took it with another. His name was Silas. The Brotherhood of the Five was made to find Silas and turn him mortal, then kill him."
"Interesting because apparently, Jeremy is a part of the Brotherhood."
Kol furrowed his eyebrows and questioned, "I'm sorry, what?"
I shook my head with a shrug, "I know. Mind. Blown."
He glared at me softly, "This isn't a joking matter. Jeremy can use his skills to kill us and Silas. He has the power to do so if he was chosen."
"Right, sorry," I said and cringed at the loudness of his voice.
"Silas cannot rise. He has psychic abilities and will destroy us all," Kol said in a low tone.
I nodded my head and sighed, "We will not let him come back."
When Kol did not say anything, my supernatural hearing picked up on sobs. I turned back and faced the bathroom door. Out came a young, brunette girl who had teary, blue eyes.
"I will be right back," I said to Kol who nodded his head in response.
I focused and heard a voice within the bathroom say as I walked towards it, "How come the only time April Young isn't following you around like a lost puppy is when I'm lying dead with a broken neck?" The voice belonged to Caroline.
Caroline pauses before speaking again, " Yeah, it's okay, I compelled her."
Now that I was closer, I could faintly hear another voice, "No, she's – she's wearing Jeremy's vervain bracelet."
I turned back to April who walked outside through the entrance of Mystic Grill. Of course, I followed her. As she turned the corner, I sprinted so that I stood in front of her.
As she gasped in surprise, I smirked, "No need to be afraid. Come with me please"
"You--You can't compel me," She stuttered as her eyes teared up even more.
"I know, I wasn't trying to. If I was, I wouldn't have said please," As I spoke, I grabbed April's wrist and began speed walking.
I felt her try to pull away but my grip was too tight, "Hey! Let go of me."
"If you don't want Caroline to come back and wipe away your memories, I suggest you walk with me," I said through gritted teeth.
April sighed and asked, "What do you want from me?"
"I need your help. I understand that you and Rebekah are friends?" I inquired and picked up my pace.
"How do you know?" April asks as she nods her head.
"A little birdy told me so. Let's cut to the chase, shall we? I need your help," I said and waited for her response.
She furrowed her eyebrows even further, "Who even are you?"
"Alexandria," I sighed, wanting to hurry. "You know, Rebekah's best friend."
"Oh!" She exclaims. "Rebekah has talked about you a lot."
I smiled softly, "Great. Hand me your bracelet."
As she opens her mouth, I cut her off, "And don't ask questions. You know that I can be quite forceful from what Rebekah has probably said."
April visibly gulps and nods. She takes off her bracelet and holds it out to me.
"That has vervain which will hurt me. Put it in your pocket, April," I spoke in a warning tone.
"Right," April said with a curt nod as she placed it in her pocket.
I made her turn to face me as I compelled her, "Be quiet and don't struggle."
April nods as I quickly pick her up. I turn back to see Caroline wildly looking around. I begin to run as fast as I can to get to my car.
"Get in!" I half scream as I get inside.
She hurriedly gets inside beside me as I begin to drive.
"One second," I say as I find Kol's number as I have one hand on the wheel.
He picks up and says, "Darling, where have you gone?"
"I got April who will help me get Rebekah back. I think she knows something," I said quickly. "I may not be back any time soon."
Kol sighs but nods, "Fine. Thanks for the ride!"
I rolled my eyes at his sarcasm, "Bye!"
I hung up the phone and set it down.
"You want my help to get Rebekah?" April asks after a few seconds of silence.
I nodded my head, "Yes. You do want to help me, right?"
"Of course. I think--I know where she is," April says, correcting herself.
"Where?" I question with a happy grin.
