The Angel Of Darkness (Itachi Love Story)

The Prelims start

After a few days of just doing nothing in the tower, more teams arrived one by one. I noticed the sound ninja making sure to keep tabs on them. Kakashi's team still hadn't made it; time was almost up which made me nervous. They were the whole reason I agreed to doing this. Just before time was up they made it. They all lined up in the room where the preliminaries were going to take place. 

When all was quiet, the Hokage told them that there are too many people that passed so we would have preliminaries. Hayate then explained the rest of the rules to them. Anko called for the screen to be shown which came out of the wall. The names were all flickering on the screen creating anticipation on who would be the first match. Finally, the names stopped revealing Sasuke Uchiha vs. Yoroi Akadō.

"Alright, everyone except the two competitors go to the level above so we can start the first match."

Everyone started to climb up the stairs so I followed in suit. I went over to Sasuke and whispered in his ear.

"Make the clan proud; show everyone not to mess with an Uchiha." I whispered earning a smirk from Sasuke then I patted him on the shoulder before continuing to the prospectors level.

"This fight's going to be good." I said with excitement leaning forward against the railing.

"Izuka! It's so nice to see you!" Gai shouted from behind me making me groan.

I turned my head seeing his famous flashy smile. Gai and I met when he challenged Kakashi during training. I thought he was funny when I was little but now that we're adults, his attitude was annoying. 

"It's nice to see you to Gai," I replied giving him a fake smile.

"What have you been up to these past five years?" He questioned making me a bit irritated.

I just wanted to be left alone and have people stop asking me the same question. I really have changed, all I wanted when I was young was to be surrounded by people but now I can only handle being with one person at a time.

"Just doing missions," I answered turning my focus back to Sasuke's match.

"All you do is missions and train. Have you ever had any fun?"

"Not really, my whole life I've been a ninja, so my family wanted me to be perfect."

"But you're only a child."

"Not anymore, I was but the clan wanted me to be successful so I didn't have time and I still don't."

"Sure you do! After the exams! Lord Hokage gave you a break didn't he?"

"Um yeah, he did."

"See problem solved; after the exams relax for a bit."

I went back to watching the fight and saw Sasuke in the air with his curse mark activating. It spread across his face making every Jonin tensed. Kakashi was about to step in but I grabbed his arm.

"Wait a little longer," I told him trusting in Sasuke's will.

We all watched waiting to see what would happen. Sasuke surprised us all by suppressing the curse mark making it go back in the seal. In order to keep the mark dormant, he fought only using taijutsu to defeat his opponent. He fell backwards exhausted but I jumped down to catch him. 

"Good job Sasuke," I congratulated flashing him a smile feeling pride well up inside me.

Kakashi appeared beside me looking down at Sasuke.

"Izuka come with me and help seal his mark." He told me so I nodded and carried Sasuke.

"But I want to see the other matches," Sasuke complained.
