Cassie's POV

Two consecutive urgent meeting with the same major stockholder is something a company doesn't want. I guess so.

One thing that can calm my nerve is to work. To amuse myself with office work.

"Hello?" Pambungad ko sa tumawag.

"Ma'am The Sandovals have arrived, they're on their way on your office po." Sagot naman sa akin nung receptionist.

"Call my secretary and tell her to show them the way to my office."

"Yes ma'am of course."

Breathe in, breathe out.

*tok tok tok*

Her pearl necklace screams sophistication and her sharp eagle eyes makes you feel little and intimidated. However, her genuine smile and soft movements proves that she's rather a warm person than a cold one.

His fidgeting legs and roaming eyes speaks that he doesn't want to be here, while I am adoring him and being thankful to know we're breathing the same air.

It made me think how everything is now upside down.

This thought immediately stabbed me in the heart.

Yes I know na this is all my fault. I pushed him away and of course he will hate me for that. why would I even think he would welcome me with open arms after what I have done

Don't worry love, it's all for you. I bet you would not be where you are right now if I dragged you down with me. I'm happy that you are living your dream, even if it is slowly killing me. knowing that i'm not gonna be a part of it.

"Good morning Ma'am, Sir." Bati ko sa kanilang dalwa.

"Ano ka ba hija, enough with the formalities. Besides kami yung may atraso dito." Sagot ni tita nang nakangiti. I gave her a smile then looked at Ace. He just dodge my gaze and looked outside the window.

"Wala po kayong atraso tita. I totally understand where Mr. Sandoval is coming from." I said ng hindi nauutal.

"No hija. Whatever Christian did is totally unacceptable. Given that this company is my most trusted investment and of course you're family is close to my heart.

"Wala pa kayo ni Christian kami na ng magulang mo ang magkasama sa negosyo na 'to and what he did yesterday was close to betraying this company, your family, and specially your parents. That is why I am deeply sorry." Patuloy niya. I looked at her and towards Ace who is now intently looking at me with his intense gaze my heart skipped a beat.
