I was perched on a window sill swinging my legs in the night air insouciance to the fact that it lay not less than fifty feet above the ground .

The biting, icy-cold winds that cannoned into me  was starting to make my limbs numb.

Silence.

Placid silence reverberated in my head until....a booming voice called out splintering the tranquil ambience of the night .

I perceived the faint, rapid footsteps that drew closer.

"Tracy?" The voice called out again .

Tracy? I thought cocking my head to the side lackadaisical about the surroundings.

Of courseI realised with a start .
Tracy !!!
Tracy Hill!

Wasn't that my current name ?
For more than half a century I have been meandering around the globe, exploring places where I could fit in , giving myself umpteen identities every time I had to start all over again .

I had lost track of the names I came up for myself just as I had lost track of time .

How many years had it been since I was forced into my immortality?
Eighty years? Probably ninety...
I couldn't quite pinpoint having not paid meticulous detail .

"Tracy?"
The maid called again followed by two loud sharp knocks on my bedroom door .

I hopped down from the window sill, swinging my legs  into the massive room and with quick strides went to get the door.

"You have a visitor" Camy-the thirty two year old maid  informed me the minute I turned the door knob and opened the door.

I nodded my head and she retreated.

Picking a duffle coat from the wardrobe, I threw it over my night clothes and  descended the stairs.

I noticed James Roche sitting on the armchair helping himself with tequila that Cami had served .

"Roche." I said approaching him and making myself comfortable on the armchair facing him .

He made a hastened movement of raising but I gestured him to remain seated.

"What urgent business brings you here at this time?" I asked sipping into my glass that Cami offered me.

"My apologizes for showing up at the time you should be going to bed ."

"No, not to worry  Roche. I don't hit the bed until past midnight and you don't have to be so formal." I added.

Reaching out into his leather coat, he pulled out a few documents.

"I need you to sign in these papers that demands me to submit at the bank by noon tomorrow."

I took the documents and flipped the pages one by one confused.

"Those are the papers from the  Nord bank of Italy , a few more formalities are yet to be done."

"But the money transaction has already been made .What more could there be ?"

"I'm afraid the bank insists on details of the account holder who has made transactions above five hundred Euros."

"I thought I had submitted those ." I said pressing my lips in a thin line.

"You have .These are only for mere records."

"Hmm.Very well then." I said .

He offered me a pen and I signed the papers and returned it back to him .
