"Renzo." I heard Ada Jenkins whisper.
My eyes averted from the gatecrasher for a second to rest on her.

She had a wacky look on her face as though she expected someone to reprimand her but at the same time she was smirking .

Beside  her , her husband was looking grim .

"Well dear, don't tell me I didn't warn you earlier about this." she murmured  nudging him and ambled  along the tables casually  asking the guests  to join her for dinner.

Though the people congregated at the party obviously wanted to watch the maelstrom that threatened to follow any second, they had no other option to to oblige .

Meanwhile my own legs were carrying me from the comfortable corner I had settled towards the middle of the room but not to follow Ada Jenkins but to find my way out of the hall .

It passed the door through which I  and most other guests had arrived unlike the one Mr angry-young-man bothered to enter making a spectacle of himself .

Speaking of which it was clear he was the Jenkins' heir and I wouldn't wanna pry on their family matters and also found a cue to leave the party that didn't seem any more inviting than it already was.

I pressed the button  for the doors of the elevator to open and it did revealing an pretty  girl in a short sky blue cocktail dress with the invitation card clutched in her fragile fingers .She stepped out and glanced around anxiously.

"Oh my god! " she exclaimed ."Am I late ?" Her green eyes swept the room blinking .

"Not really, no ." I said and stepped into the elevator and the door slid shut  fading her loud footsteps.
And I descended the tower hoping the girl could at least make it  up to the door with her  dangerous looking high pencil heels.

"Three hundred thousand?"I gasped .
" Oh my god, Three-hundred-thousand" I repeated incredulously.
" What the hell!How-"

This did not just happen!
I must have checked it wrong.
I assured myself .There was no way someone could have embezzled thousands of Euros from my bank lockers.

I recalled very clearly I did have Eight fifty thousand Euros  just a few weeks ago unless I believe that  my money  evanesced.

Bloody hell.
Who...???

Anger tore my composure as I snarled loudly . I was alone in my bedroom and no one was here in the perimeter to witness my equanimity break ,not that I gave a damn about it .

I had to admit I wasn't known for tracking down such superfluous maniacs nor involved myself around anything and everything that involved the modern, newfangled  world but I can't deny even to myself that I was indeed very good and quite experienced in murdering .

All I had to do was catch hold of that individual who dared to rob me and snap his or her head like a twig which wouldn't be that difficult a task for me considering the fact that I was almost a century old werewolf.

It there was one free advice I could provide someone , then that would be never to get on the nerves of a werewolf -not if the person aspired to  cling to life even a day longer .

Alright... You're being melodramatic Leah. I said to myself shaking my head to and fro .

I did the first thing that popped to my head that second - I called the bank .

"Hello?" Spoke a familiar low ,deep voice at the other end of the line .
"This is Tracy Hill." I informed the man ."Am I speaking to -" I glanced at the book were I had scribbled the number-" Steve Millet?"
