Chapter 28 - Growing younger

It was already half past four in the evening when we reached the penthouse the Jenkins's family owned in Greece .It was much smaller than the one in Italy but never the less beautiful.

For the past few hours we had roamed the beautiful city while the chauffeur had driven our luggage back to the penthouse.

I had been provided with a separate room in the first floor beside the one Sarah and Aeryn shared.

I didn't care what impression I was gonna make but I  couldn't isolate myself anymore.

It was like a bubble  bursting out loud inside me and I felt like I had resurfaced after suffocating myself for years and finally I could breadth again properly.

After throwing my bags in some corner of the room I went to take a hot shower . Wrapping myself in a towel I stepped out of the bathroom and threw my bags open searching for something and anything that was good to wear .

It did not come as a surprise when I realized all I owned were mostly formal wears and boring T shirts, oversized silk blouses and jeans .I needed a desperate makeover . Only for the week.

I hastily fitted myself in a top and jeans and headed to the room next to mine.

I caught the girls in the middle of a deep conversation . For the first time in years I didn't feel guilty about barging into others rooms like I owned it.

Grinning like a Cheshire cat I approached the two gaping girls perched on the bed.

"Um...Is there anything you need?" Aeryn spoke hesitantly .
I hoped I had gained a good impression during our talk in the plane.

"Oh nothing really. I was just hoping if you girls could help me with shopping ?"

After few hours  my face had totally turned red with embarrassment for trying out the dresses that I had never dreamt of wearing .

"Really?" I asked blushing more when I stepped out of the trail room .

I was wearing a bias cut dress that hugged my profile and also exposed my skin in many places I'd rather prefer not .

I crossed my arms over my chest self conscious all of a sudden when I felt the girls gawking at me .

"Yes totally!" Sarah exclaimed while Aeryn remained slack jawed.

"Gosh!I really wish I had money to buy such dresses ." I heard Aeryn whisper when we stopped at the fifteen shop .

It was very kind of Drew to lend his car and chauffeur for our little shopping tour which made it easier for us.

Turning to Aeryn  in surprise I observed her sad pout.

"Just pick anything you want ...I'll pay for them. " I said gesturing the numerous racks of vivid rich dresses .

"I...I can?" She asked blinking rapidly.

"Of course .I don't mind ."

"My allowance isn't too high " Sarah complained. "Or I would have bought her many clothes myself. "

"Its fine. You have done too much for me already ." Aeryn nudged Sarah and both hugged each other .

Drawing back Sarah gave Aeryn a teasing smile. "I know what you're doing ...trying to impress him aren't you?"

Confused I raised my eyebrows at Aeryn. "Impress whom?"

I knew Ed liked her but I hadn't thought she would like him back .
