Chapter 27 - Vacation

"I'm gonna be the object of ridicule !I can feel it." I exclaimed to my empty living room .

"No, you won't be." Cami said walking to me with my briefcases.

"You will be alright on your own?" I asked giving her a  look .

"More than alright Miss. I never found a way to thank you enough for bringing my kids home that night ." she replied with tears menacing to roll down  her flushed cheeks any minute .

"It was nothing ." I waved my hands in the air nonplussed .

I was already caught up with my own errands and a few questions up in the air as to  why I opted to dispatch a week from my calendar and spend it with him and his family ,and I certainly did not want any other mortifying moments in life .

Thankfully Cami blinked back her tears and now all that was left was for me to load the luggage in my car and drive  it to his home .

I stepped out of the house and a fresh, cold breeze welcomed me outside  . I was too nervous to get a firm hold of my briefcase and it kept slipping down my fingers when I reached the driveway .

"Need a hand?" A enticing voice spoke behind me .

I straightened my back abruptly and turned to face Renzo.He was dressed to perfection in an informal wear .His hair was untidy and his lower lip was jutting out as he gave me a crooked smile .

"What are you doing here?" I asked flushing red for no bloody reason .

"Escorting you, of course ." he said teasingly .

"Thank you but I could have found the address myself . It would be a shame if anyone doesn't know the renowned, pre-eminent , every girl's delusional prince charming- Renzo Jenkins's home after all." I said sarcastically rolling my eyes at him

"Ha , very funny " he gave a small mirthless laugh and motioned for me to follow him carrying my briefcase .

"Why did you invite me ?" I asked slumped in the passenger seat looking at his cool profile as he drove .

"I needed someone to annoy and infuriate during my stay in Greece ."

"Oh. I feel very special now. " I said gritting my teeth and throwing daggers at him .

Let me hear him  saying that after he faces my wrath !

"Why did you finally decide to tag along?"He was still facing the road but there was something different about his tone now.

"Because I felt I needed a break from my normal routine ."I replied bluntly .

"Hmm." He nodded looking straight ahead and I stared past the windshield .

Twenty five minutes later we found ourselves stopping in front of his penthouse .

"Oh-my-god !" I gaped looking up and down at his home. It was so ...big!

"You can say that again." He mused sliding off the car elegantly .

"C'mon in. " he said taking a hold of my elbow when I didn't move an inch after getting out of his luxurious car .

Radiant heated outdoors with Novelda limestone flooring that extended from the interior .

Sodded lawn area stretched for almost half a mile from the penthouse and I could make out a six person jacuzzi in the first floor just under the shade structure through the glass balustrade.
