I bounced the little girl on my lap nervously, waiting on Y/N to come. It was the first time she would meet my daughter, Charlotte. Yes, her mother left without a warning, leaving me to be a single dad. It was hard with me being gone all the time, but Nicole Allen offered to take care of her when I did take her on the road with me.

I was protective over Charlotte, not wanting her to gain a mother figure only to lose her. The four year old didn't deserve to lose more than she already had. I was always cautious in relationships, waiting to tell them about my little girl a handful of dates in. Most girls didn't like the fact that I already had a child and said it wouldn't work, but Y/N was different. She was excited to meet Charlotte, but wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with letting the two meet. She never pushed for me to tell her about Charlotte or her mother, and for that I was grateful.

Y/N was different than other girls I'd met. It was hard to pin point what made her different, but I knew she was special. We had met at Casino Night at a Black Jack table I was dealing at. She had her arm looped through an older gentleman's as they walked up to the table. I later learned it was her season ticket holder grandfather.

I couldn't keep my eyes off her and her grandfather took notice. "She's single, you know." He told me with a smile. It didn't take long for me to ask her on date and it's been history ever since. I had loved her for awhile and I figured it was time to introduce my two favorite girls.

Right on time the doorbell rang and Charlotte's eyes lit up. "Daddy! Can I get it?" I set her down and she ran to the door with me right behind her. She reached up and opened the door. When Y/N saw that I wasn't the one who opened the door, she squated down, meeting Charlotte's bright smile with her own. "Hi! I'm Charlotte and I'm four!" I hadn't seen her so excited about something before and it brought a smile to my face as well.

"I'm Y/N and I'm twenty four!"

"Are you daddy's girlfriend?" Charlotte asked.

Y/N nodded her head. "I am."

"Daddy talks about you to Mrs. Nicole all the time!" Y/N's eyes pulled up to meet mine then back down to the small blonde haired girl.

"Okay! Let's go inside!" I gently led Charlotte back, allowing Y/N come inside.

"Will you play with me?!" Charlotte asked excitedly, jumping up and down.

"Of course, sweetheart, but can you give me a second?" Charlotte nodded her head like a bobble head before running off to her room. "Hi." Y/N greeted, a big smile taking over her lips.

"Hi." I leaned down and placed a quick kiss to Y/N's lips.

"Thank you for letting me meet Charlotte today, it really means a lot to me that you trust me enough to let me into her life." I could see the happy tears glossing over her eyes.

I pulled her into a tight hug, tears forming in my own eyes. "Thank you for wanting to be a part of her life." Y/N pulled back and cupped my cheeks in her hands.

"I want to be a part of her life for as long as you'll let me." There was a smile ever present on her face and it didn't seem to be going away any time soon.

"I love you so, so much, I hope you know that."

"I know, and I love you too." She quickly wiped under her eyes, trying to rid them of tears.

I placed a loving kiss to her forehead. "Second door on your right." I sent her a smile before she walked down the hall to play with Charlotte. I smiled to myself and wondered how I got so lucky to have those two beautiful girls in my life.

I walked down the hall and leaned against the door frame as I watched Y/N help Charlotte pick out a princess outfit. "Who's your favorite princess?" Charlotte asked, scanning all the poofy dresses. Her eyes landed on the blue Cinderella dress and she picked it up.

"My favorite princess is Rapunzel." Y/N said, helping Charlotte into her Cinderella dress.

"I don't have that one."

"It's okay, I don't think it would fit me." Y/N said, fastening the last button at the top of the dress. Charlotte turned around to face her with a bright smile. "I don't think I've ever seen a princess more beautiful than you." Charlotte threw her little arms around Y/N, thanking her for the compliment.

That's when I knew Y/N was the one I wanted to be the mother of Charlotte, the one I wanted to be my life partner. I wanted to marry her, and marry her I would.

I know this wasn't requested, but I hope you guys enjoy it, and I promise I'm working on requests!
