My chest felt tight as I was still in a sleeping state. There was no dream just darkness. I began to feel like I was falling as my chest got tighter and my heart beated faster. It got to be unbearable and it snapped me out of my sleep.
I sat straight up but I wasn't on the couch anymore, I was in bed.
"Are you okay?" I looked over to the chair in the corner to see Thomas.
"Oh my gosh Thomas. I'm so sorry. I didn't forget about dinner tonight. Well I did kind of I just fell asleep. I'm so sorry." I mumbled on to him.
"Y/N just breathe. It's all going to be okay." He said sitting on the bed next to me now wiping off tears I hadn't realized were on my face. It must've been from everything going on that I cried in my sleep.
"Should we get going to Monticello? Are we really late?" I asked him as I became more aware of my surroundings now. He must've carried me in here from the couch.
"I don't think that's going to happen." Thomas said to me putting the covers back over me.
"Thomas you planned this all out. We have to go. You should've woke me up." I said to him but he shook his head no.
"Y/N you've had a long day. I'd rather that you'd just rest. You can talk about it if you want. I'm here." Thomas told me and I sighed.
"Everyone knows now? About the affair." I said lowly.
"Yes." He replied,"How are you handling with it?"
I laid back in bed and he laid right next to me,"I think I messed up bad."
"How could you possibly do that Y/N, you aren't even involved with the affair." Thomas said softly.
"I knew about it for awhile. I didn't tell anyone. My dad is mad at me for it. What if I should've told someone? Now everyone knows. I don't know how I got to this position Thomas. I just want everything to go away." I told him as I turned to face him.
"You were just being a good friend. Your Father shouldn't have gotten mad about it. I'm sure he regretted the whole incident now." He said to me looking me in the eyes.
"Thomas we had a fight. We never fight like that. He ended the fight with "okay." Now I don't even have a real home or place to stay. I messed up." I said and Thomas looked sad at hearing those words.
"Why don't you have a place to stay anymore?" He asked worried.
"I kinda just went off on him and now I don't know what to do." I sighed and he pulled me in a tight hug against his chest. It was silent and nice. I almost fell asleep again from all of my tiredness until Thomas spoke.
"Come and live with me."
My heart skipped a beat at his words.
"Okay Thomas." I said and I could see the tired smile on his face. The last candle that was lit in my room burned out after that.
"I'll help you get packed tomorrow." Thomas said and I yawned getting more under the covers.
"Thank you." I said closing my eyes.
"Y/N." He whispered.
"Yeah Thomas?"
"I love you. I'm not going to leave you ever again. I promise."
I smiled to myself,"I love you too Thomas."
"Remember," he said,"Everything is going to be okay."
