Chapter 2

  A/N: I don't know if Reim is close to a forest, but they are close to Reim. I want them to be in a forest so no one will be suspicious of a dragon in the middle of Reim. Also, It's been a few days since Sinbad freed Masrur from slavery.

  When Igneel and Sora stepped out of the portal, they were in the middle of a forest. Walking around, Sora was amazed. As she was about to wonder the forest, Igneel stopped her.

"Once we get settled, how about we start training?"

"Can't I wonder around? Just for today. Pleeeeeaaaaaseee." She gave him the puppy dog eyes.

  Igneel's eyes softened, and he agreed. Before she went, he warned her to be careful of the people close to here.

  As Sora got out of the forest, she saw buildings near to where she was. 'Dad won't mind me goin' over there. He did say I could wonder around.' Grinning, she set her focus to there. Once she finally reached it, she saw people selling things at booths. 'Must be a market.' Walking up to one, she saw a guy selling jewelry.

"Hello little girl. Would you be interested in buying something?"

"No, but can ya tell me where I'm at?"

"You're at the Reim Empire!"

  Nodding, she looked at the necklaces and rings. They were pretty, but she was not interested in them. Before the man could get her to buy something, Sora walked off. As she was walking, she heard shouting. Walking towards it, she came across a huge building. Bigger than any of the ones she came across. She saw two guards, and walked up to one of them.

"Hey Mister. What's goin' on in there?"

  Looking down, they were surprised to see a little girl. Replying, one told her it was a colosseum. Nodding, she tried getting in but he wouldn't let her.

"Sorry, but this no place for a little girl. Why don't you run back to your parents?" The other guard agreed.

"No. I wanna see!" When she tried again, he only pushed her. The other guard was ready to help his friend. When she regained herself, she had an idea.

"How do I get in there then?"

  Looking at each other, one of them told her she had to sign up to get in a battle or pay to watch. "Little girl, you wouldn't want to watch a brutal fight now would you?" The other laughed.

"You'd be surprised what I want. Where do I sign up then?"

  They gave up, and gave her directions. Nodding, she went to find it.

  Finally finding it, she walked up.

"Hey Mister, can I participate?"

  Surprised, he looked to where the sound came from.

"Down here."

  Looking down, he saw Sora. When he got a good look at her, he thought she was a Fanalis. When she saw he was giving her weird looks, she remembered people looked at her like she was a rare species while she walked. Waving her hand in front of him, she repeated her question.

  Stuttering, he apologized. (I don't know how you would sign up in Reim to fight.) He gave her a piece of paper to write information down. Once she was done, he pointed to where she would wait. Thanking him, she walked to the line. Waiting in the line, she saw mostly men and kids; there were hardly girls. While she was in her thoughts, she saw it was almost her time to fight. When she in the front, she saw a man looking at her weirdly. Snapping out of his thoughts, he told her to pick a weapon.

"I don't think I'll need one."

"Are you sure?"

"Yep! All I need are my fists!"

  Nodding, he pushed her in the arena. What she saw was crazy. She saw one man looked dead while the other was raising his fists in the air. 'Looks like he came out as the victor.'

"Everyone! We have a new fighter in town! Can she win against our victorious winner, or will she die trying? We'll find out when it's over."

  Getting ready to fight, she heard the bell ring. With that, she lunged towards him.
