Chapter 3

  Before the man could hit Sora, she grabbed his wrist and flung him across the arena. Some people booed her while others cheered. When he hit the wall, he put a dent into it. He smirked. 'Haven't had a challenge in a while.' Getting back up, he lunged after her. Trying to punch her was really hard for him; she dodged every attack he threw at her. Before she could react, he punched her in the stomach. Sora flew into the wall, making a huge dent in the wall.

  As the man turned his back on her, he put his fists in the air. People were cheering, saying that he should kill her. "Looks like the match is-" Before the host could finish his sentence, Sora yelled.

"Don't turn your back on your opponent!" When he turned around, she punched him in stomach. "Bringin' it right back at ya!" As he was doubled over, regaining his breath, Sora did a move no one expected. "Fire Dragon's Crushing Fang!" She swiped at him with fire igniting on her hands. Though it did burn him, he wasn't giving up; his life was on the line.

  As they both attacked each other, Sora smirked. He was starting to get tired, unlike Sora. She wasn't tired, for Igneel trained Natsu and her to fight and it was hardcore. "Mister, you're really strong!" With her last move, she sent him in the air.

  When he was on the ground, he could barely move. 'Guess this is the end.'

"We have a new victor, Sora!" Sora raised her fists in the air, but she was mad. She heard the crowd say to kill her opponent. With her anger, she said something they didn't expect.

"I won't kill him! You better get that rotten thought out of your head or were gonna have problems!" People booed her, but she didn't care. As she walked up to the man, she held out her hand. "Lets fight again sometime!" She smiled at him.

  He looked up to her, impressed. "Why won't you kill me? That's what is supposed to happen after every fight."

"Guess I don't go by rules. 'Sides, I wanna fight ya again!"

  He smiled. He took her hands, trying to get up. He wobbled, but Sora balanced him so he wouldn't fall. Though people booed her for her actions, she didn't mind. As long as the man was still breathing, that's all that matter to her.

Time skip~~~~~~~~~~

  As they walked to the physicians, she heard him speak. Snapping out of her thoughts, she looked up to him. "Huh?"

"I asked what your name was."

"Sora!"

"Thank you for helping me. Might I ask the Great Sora how old she is to beat a man?" (A/N: he's not flirting.)

"10! You?"

"46. Why would a little girl like you want to fight?"

"To get stronger!"

  As the were talking, they finally got to the destination. For Cayden, he thought of Sora as a little sister. He was amazed by her strength. He asked if she was a Fanalis and she replied no. For Sora, she thought Cayden was like a big brother. She liked that she act like she does around Natsu. Speaking of Natsu, she started to get homesick. As they were getting checked, Sora thought of him. Cayden noticed her sad look, and decided to cheer her up. He made funny faces, and she giggled. People in the room smiled at this sight.

  Finally done with the checkup, Cayden and Sora were walking in the market. As they passed by booths, she suddenly ran off. Worried, he searched for her. 'Where could she have run off to?' Looking around, he found her at a booth filled with food. He walked up to her. He saw she was eyeing a piece of meat. "Do you want me to bye that?"

  Looking up, she shaked her head, saying that she wasn't hungry. Right at that moment, her stomach growled. Blushing, she stayed stubborn. She looked down. What she didn't notice was that Cayden paid for some food. "Here you go, Sora."

  Handing her a piece of meat, she looked at it. Eyeing it, she wondered if it really was okay for her to eat it. Shyly, she took a bite. 'Soooo good!' Quickly, she ate the rest. "Thanks Cayden!"

  He smiled. In all honesty, he wanted to spoil Sora. He wanted to be a brotherly-figure to her.

Time skip~~~~~~~~~

  As the time flew by, Sora noticed it was getting dark. She was sad to leave Cayden, but was positive she would meet him the next day. When she took her hand out of his, she stopped walking. When he noticed her hand wasn't in his, he looked at Sora.

"I should get home."

"Do you want me to walk you home?"

"I'll be fine. If someone messes with me, I'll just beat them up!"

  He was stubborn, but finally agreed. Before they both departed, they promised to meet each other. He told her that he was going to sell fruit in the market. When she asked why, he told her that today was his last fight. Nodding, she ran to the forest.

  When she finally reached home, she ran to Igneel. He asked what she did today, and she told him all that happened.

"I'm glad you had fun." Noticing it was night, he suggested to sleep.

"Okay!" With that, she curled up into Igneel.
