"...What does this mean...?" Narmes said

"The Former King didn't choose a successor... That means..." Sin said

Sora was happy; happy to know that Patra and Gafra didn't have their way just yet. "Then that means the one to become king has yet to be decided! Sucks to be you two losers!" She pointed towards them, tongue stuck out.

"Unbelievable...nothing like this has happened before." Narmes was shaking. "The king has always chosen his own successor. That is the Royal Family's tradition. That's..."

"Some traditions are meant to be changed." Sora stated, as it was obvious to her.

"What do you mean, Sora?" Ja'far asked. Sin and his companions awaited for her answer.

"Well, think 'bout it; things change, and that includes traditions."

"I can't believe that our longstanding custom, one that has continued for centuries, would be broken like this..." Patra was shaking in anger. "That's...impossible. There's no way the Former King would do that...right? Sharrkan's name was supposed to be carved into his sarcophagus, wasn't it?" She was delirious by now. Looking towards Sharrkan, she almost glared at him. "Sharrkan...you said so, didn't you? You said you would become the next king...didn't you tell us that?! Answer me, Sharrkan." He gulped, holding his staff tightly to his chest. Silence was her answer. "...Oh, is that it...?" Grabbing his wrist, she held it tightly out of anger. "You deceived me even though you're just a puppet...!"

Stepping towards her, Narmes tried to get her off of Sharrkan. "Please stop, Lady Patra!" She looked at him.

"Silence, Narmes! We're only here because Sharrkan was supposed to be king! If that...has...! If everything has turned out like this, we should have just kept using the Dungeon and the curse to drag Armakan from the throne!"

As Patra was in a state of shock, her spirit snapped once and for all, Sora grabbed her wrist, glaring. "Old Hag, I would shut up if I were you and let Sharrkan go."

"How dare you-"

"No; how dare you! How dare you speak about Sharrkan and Armakan that way! You're the most annoying lady I have ever met! You're pathetic and you deserve a good punch to the face!" Before Sora could even attempt at punching her, Narmes held her wrist. "Let go!"

Before Narmes could say anything, Armakan intervened. "...So it was you after all. The mysterious deaths that led to rumors of a curse... Even though you're the Dowager Queen, you've agitated our citizens and thrown our country into chaos. That is unforgivable." Looking towards him, she glared.

"Isn't that all your fault, Armakan? We wouldn't have had to use such methods if you hadn't advocated international diplomacy. The last thing our nation needs is for us to encourage negative attention from the Reim Empire. That would be unforgivable..." Pointing accusing at him, she finally snapped. "What we did was necessary to protect this country!"

"What ya did was mess up the country, stupid old hag!" Sora had had enough of her.

"How dare you call me that! I should put in prison, or even worse, death!"

"Try me!"

"...You say we shouldn't attract Reim's attention...and yet you belong to the new Reim faction, don't you?" Patra and Gafra looked at him, glaring.

"New Reim faction?" Ja'far questioned

"There are a number of individuals in our country that belong to it. The Reim Empire is just north of our country. Compared to it, Heliohapt is just a small nation. Some have tried to develop a close relationship with Reim in order to avoid confrontation and ensure our safety. That group is the New Reim Faction." Narmes explained

"What's wrong with that?! Without doing so, surviving all these years would have been impossible! Our small nation! There's no way we're a match for that huge empire! Only through carefully monitoring Reim's mood and playing by their rules we have been able to protect this country! That is the duty of the Royal Family! We can't let the centuries-old traditions of the Heliohapt Royal Line come to an end like this! We can't leave this country in the hands...of juveniles who don't understand how to rule!" She put her hand on her chest.

Armakan breathed in. "But isn't it also our duty to free ourselves from Reim's control?! If things continue like this, nothing will ever change!"

"Are you saying we should encourage Reim to invade us?! Maintaining our current balance is the best course of action for this country!" Gafra said. Sora put her hands on her ears from all the yelling. She had sensitive hearing since she has dragon like abilities.

"Our people are at their limits! Please take their futures into consideration!" Armakan countered

"That would be too naïve! Our people may be temporarily impoverished, but it's in exchange for ensuring the future of our country!" As they were yelling, Sin and his friends simply watched from the sidelines. As for Sora, she crouched down, ready to explode.

'Even though their methods are different, they're all fighting to protect this country...I don't think this endless argument will lead to a compromise... Working together to decide the next king...may be impossible after all...' Ja'far calculated

"Hold on a minute!" Sin shouted, making everyone turn to him. "I can...solve your problem...no...the Seven Seas alliance can!" He smiled. Sora finally stood up, happy that the unnecessary was gone.

"And Sora!"
