When Sora looked at them, she sensed a suspicious aura from them. Masrur noticed this and looked her way. He saw getting tense and was almost growling.

"I'm the kingdom of Heliohapt's grand vizier, Gafra Ka. This is the Queen Dowager, Lady Patra, wife of the late king." Gafra said. Looking towards Narmes, he continued. "Really consul Narmes... you're quite the disappointment. Letting the young king meet with foreign travelers at a time like this... You're not fit for the title of consul."

As Sora heard this, she muttered "He's better than what you could ever be, jerk"

"Don't you understand what's going on? Ever since the death of the former king and the enthronement of Prince Armakan, this country has seen nothing but bad luck... You are aware, are you not? Of the increase in sudden deaths with no apparent cause... Healthy young people have recently started dropping dead for no known reason. We're using all of our resources to investigate this phenomenon, but... do you know what they're calling it in the city?" Petra said

"A 'curse'." Narmes responded

"That's right! Our great former king strove to keep Heliohapt an independent country, free from foreign influences. Despite that, our current king has chosen to ignore the will of the former king and has decided to let outsiders like these into our country... That's something unforgivable. I'm sure these actions must have invoked the rage of our great former king." This raged Narmes.

"Lord Gafra! Lady Patra! You are speaking in front of your King!"

"Please excuse us... We had no intention of being rude....But we are praying that the 'curse' does not affect our Young King..." Gafra said 'apologetically'

The king only sighed, but Sora started to chuckle. Before anyone could stop her, she spoke.

"Wow! You really are funny!" Everyone looked at her like she was crazy, shocked that she would say something right in front of him. "You're honestly makin' me laugh over hear! I bet you would just hate for your king to catch this 'curse' you're talkin' 'bout! I bet it would just kill ya inside!"

This angered Patra and Gafra while Anubis was calm. "Little girl, if I were you, I would be quiet." Gafra threatened

"Oh~ What are ya gonna do? Beat me up? I'm really scared over here~" Sora walked up to them. She grabbed hold of Gafra's clothes in her fist and brought him down to her level. Sin tried to grab hold of her, but Masrur held onto him so he wouldn't get hurt. As he was down to her level, she whispered to him. "Ya know, you're a really terrible liar. Just wait until you're King finds out~" Letting him go, she returned by Sin's side, but not before giving Gafra a closed eye smile, which creeped him out. Before Patra or Anubis could get revenge, he signaled them to go. And so, they left the room angrily.

"I am sorry about all of that..." Narmes said, looking defeated. "Let's leave our negotiations for another day. As an apology, please allow us to pay for your lodgings."

Out of the palace, Sin was scolding Sora for what she did. "What were you thinking?! I can't take you anywhere without you overdoing it!"

"Sorry I wanted to get all my anger out from that creep. He annoyed me with his lying. You could practically tell he was lyin'." Sora rolled her eyes at him while she crossed her arms over her chest. The others just stood there watching. They didn't want to get in the middle of a soon-to-be fight.

"That doesn't give you the right to do what you did! Honestly..." Sin pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head while looking towards the ground.

"Sin, I was gettin' tired of what he was sayin'. Do you expect me to just stand there listenin' to his pathetic ranting? Tell me. Could you stand there listenin' to him spouting about nonsense that was right in front of the King's face that had to do with him? Saying that he's so sorry if the curse gets to him?" She had a serious look on her face.

"But still-"

"Well I can't. This is how I deal with things. If you don't like it, then get over it. I can't just stand there listenin' to that guy talk about nonsense! He was startin' to make me real mad! Even the King was tired of him talkin'!"

Deciding to intervene, the young man of the young generation spoke up. "Sorry... Please let me explain a little further. The truth is that a few months ago the previous king of our country passed away, and the prince at that time, Lord Armakan, succeeded the throne and was crowned our new king. Our former king wasn't interested in foreign policy, and instead cut our country off from all outside influence. However, due to the fact that we were lagging behind the rest of the world's great changes and advancements, our current king has completely changed our foreign policy. We of the younger generations approve of and support that policy. But...the conservative older generations are against it. And now, the citizens of our country have unfortunately split into two factions, one supporting the current king and the other supporting the former king..."

As he spoke, Masrur thought, 'I wonder if that's why we felt like we were being watched this morning.'

"But...I'm sure they'll come to understand our point of view someday." he continued to say while he smiled. "This is what's best for the sake of Heliohapt's future. We believe that with all our hearts! Anyway, we'll show you to the inn. Please follow me." Now that Sin and Sora were calmed down, Sin continued to not look at Sora. He was still mad, and he ignored her for the rest of the day. Sora got over it and thought he was a baby for not getting over it.

While Sin was getting rooms for them to stay in, Ja'far was talking with the younger boy. "Thank you for all your help today. And sorry for being so suspicious of you at first. Oh, and I apologize that you had to see Sin's and Sora's fight."

"No problem. There's no need to worry! I just hope they make up soon!" he said closing his eyes and shaking his head.

"I'm sure they will! If you don't mind, would you be our guide again tomorrow?"

"Of course! We'd love to."

With Sin, he was still at the counter. The man behind the counter spoke. "So you must be Sinbad, huh?"

"Why?"

"There's a guest here to see you..."

"A visitor coming all the way to Heliohapt for me...? I have no idea who would do that." With that, Hina, Mystras, and Sora walked up.

"Ah, must be you-know-what. A woman." Hina said

"Already?! That was fast!" Mystras said shocked

"No! I haven't done anything yet!" Sin said

"Are you sure? This is you, from what I heard, we're talkin' about." Sora said

"Sora! You haven't even known me for long!"

"I thought you weren't talkin' to me?"

"I dunno. While we were sightseeing, you got pretty friendly with the girl at the Apothecary, didn't you?" Hina asked

"Amazing! That's Sinbad for you!" Mystras said amazed

"Guys!" Sin complained

"Just shut up..." Ja'far said, wanting to say that to them. "I promise we'll cause less trouble tomorrow, so... please take care..." He reached for his hand, but was shocked by what he saw.

With Sora, she sensed a bad vibe coming from Ja'far and the young boy. Looking towards them, she saw something coming towards the young boy. As she reached out to get to him, it was too late; she saw him already get struck. He fell to the ground as she ran towards him. Ja'far held his body to check for any pulse. Sin, Mystras, and Hina heard the girl scream and saw Sora next to Ja'far.

"What happened?!" Sin said as they ran towards the scene.

"He's...dead...?!"
