Everyone rushed down towards Ja'far. Drakon took him from Sora and held him in his hands. Sora didn't move, lost in her thoughts.
"...Ja'far." Sin couldn't believe his eyes. "Ja'far. Hold on, Ja'far. Ja'far!"
Drakon held his body next to his ears, listening for a pulse. "Sinbad... Ja'far, he's...already..." You didn't need any words, for there was an answer in his face.
However, Masrur simply laughed and smiled menacingly. "Nice. Good job, Ja'far. That's it. The resolve it takes to be able to throw your life away for the sake of your King... That's exactly how a loyal subject should act! I wanted to see just how much pain you'd be willing to go through...for the sake of your King. You pass." Sora stood up, clenching her fists and walked towards him. "However, I still have to deal with you, little girl. Let's have fun with this match." He stood up, getting ready for the battle. Sora didn't say anything.
She continued to walk, and once she stopped in front of him, he didn't have a chance to react. She clutched a handful of his shirt and threw him into the air. Once he landed harshly on the ground, with the pillar cracking, she put her foot on top of him, glaring at him. Everyone looked to watch, however, Sin came over to stop the match. "Get. Out. Of. His. Body." Startled, everyone stopped their actions, even Zepar. He looked into her eyes to see a dragon staring straight into his soul. Scared, he clamped his hands on her ankle, and threw her to the side.
She stopped propelling, stopping the force of the throw. She, then, threw fire towards him. He tried to stop them but she ran in front of him. Blinking, he tried blocking her attacks but she continued to throw punches at him. Once he grabbed hold of her arms, she grinned but then frowned. She kicked him in the sides, earning a grunt from him, and threw him to the ground, making the pillar crack from the force. It almost made the pillar not uphold them from so much force.
Seeing as how he wasn't going to win this battle, he got out of Masrur's body, letting Masrur fall to the ground with him asleep. "Okay, okay. You win. This fight is over. They were good matches, huh?"
"...Good matches?" Sin said while Sora glared at Zepar
"Yeah! They were good fights that brought out the strength of desperation. The first pair were able to surpass the limits of their own strength, and the next two showed their willingness to offer up their lives for their Master. As for her, she showed great strength to fight for her...friends...? I couldn't have asked for better results. You've got yourself some excellent subordinates! Now that all that's over, what shall we do next? The next test will be-" Zepar continued to smile, but Sora interrupted him before Sin could say anything.
"Quit messin' around." Even though she stole his line, that didn't mean he wasn't going to let this slide. He transformed into Baal and held his sword towards Zepar. Sora ignited fire in her hands, daring Zepar to make a move.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Zepar. We are not your playthings." Sin said while they glared. "They took their fights seriously. They listened to your unreasonable requests. And because it was a trial set for us by a Djinn, I just stood back and watched. If this... is the outcome, I won't let you get away with this. Can you throw your life away for your king? How much pain are you willing to go through for the sake of your king? If those are the things that make someone a loyal subject, I don't want anything to do with them. I'll take it all upon myself! Whether it means putting my life at risk or suffering...my friends...are everything! I don't understand your reasoning. But I'll make you regret...playing around with the lives of my friends!"
"It's pointless. Inside a Dungeon, the Djinn is-" Zepar tried to say but Sora interrupted him.
"Invincible, right? But what if you're up against the power of another Djinn?" Sin knew what she was getting at because he had the same idea.
"If you have to face Baal's power, are you sure that you'll come out unscathed...?"
'...This man...and girl...' Zepar couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Geez...I said I'd leave things to you and what are you doing?" Everyone turned toward the voice. "If you do this, then my death would've been all for nothing, wouldn't it? How troublesome, Sin. Sora, I can't believe you went along with him." Everyone was shocked. Ja'far coughed out blood.
"Ja'far?!" Ja'far smiled and wipped the blood from his mouth.
"Th-that's impossible! Your heart had stopped..." Drakon said, panicking.
"What? It was simple. I only appeared to be dead. I opened a small hole in my chest that drastically weakened my heartbeat for a short time, putting my body in a death-like state. It only lasts for a few minutes, but it's a technique that gives you the opportunity to deceive your enemy. It's a technique I developed during my time as an assassin, but I'm glad it's come in handy now. Now then, we would pass if one of the two of us died, correct? I was dead for a moment, so your condition was met. Masrur and I both safely passed your test, including Sora...I think..."
"Hey!"
"But you can't go back on your word now, Zepar."
Sin de transformed and smile, walking towards him while Sora put her fire out and ran at Ja'far, hugging him, practically crushing him.
"Sora...need...air..."
Sora let go and scratched the back of her neck, smiling. "Sorry."
"...That's how it is, isn't it, Zepar? Sin questioned
Zepar clenched his fist, angered.
As Hina and Mystras woke up (A/N: which I'm questioning since there was a lot of ruckus), Hina asked, "...Huh? What happened..." Masrur also woke up and questioned himself if the fight was over already. "Hey! Why's everything destroyed? What kind of fight happened while we were unconscious...?" Hina looked at how much damage there was.
"Hinahoho! Mystras!" Sin shouted, noticing they were awake.
As Ja'far noticed Masrur beside him, he said, "Masrur..." Before Masrur could react, Ja'far suddenly started to check him. "Ah! Are you alright?! Does anything feel strange? Do you feel dizzy?!"
"...I'm fine. Really, you look much more injured than me...Ja'far..." Before he could continue, Sora hugged him. "...Sora" Hesitantly, he hugged back. "Umm...I don't remember anything. What happened to the trial?" Ja'far simply smiled
"...Nothing. It's over now." Ja'far said while Masrur was confused with holding Sora, too.
With Zepar, he was enraged. "What the heck is this? What do you think you're doing?" Everyone looked towards him. "Do you really think you can win like that? This isn't a joke. I won't accept it. I can't accept...something like this." He started to shake. Suddenly, he looked straight at them. "I won't acknowledge you as king. You'll spend the rest of your lives here in this Dungeon!"
"What a sore loser." Sora mumbled
"...Fine with me." Sin said
"From the outset, we were only conquering this Dungeon to help Heliohapt." Ja'far calculated
"We'll force our way through!" Drakon stated
Suddenly, Seredine had an idea.
