Chapter 07 – His Keeper

I had to ask Rian to come get me at the door in order for me to gain entrance into the club. It was a different one from last night and I was equally as differently dressed, having come without even paying any mind to how I looked, after Suho's ridiculous new 'order'.

Not even 24 hours had passed since I did what he initially asked me to and here I was with my second 'order'. If I had thought his term to seduce Kai was hard to achieve then this new one was down right impossible.

This was why I didn't like the amount of control he had over me but I wasn't complaining. Hey, after all, you make the bed; you lie on it. But to say I was wholly unprepared for what he wanted me to do now would be an understatement.

"Kai's going to hang out with friends this evening, make sure he stays out of trouble and behave. This is your first test."

Other than the fact that I thought all this started when he asked me to have sex with Kai, making this the second 'test', what he wanted was clear enough to understand. The problem was, he was asking me to control someone else. Any person, not to mention someone like Kai, would not react well to being controlled. I had laughed it off at first, complimenting him on his humor, only to realize he was dead serious.

No matter the arguments I had brought up to show how unachievable this was for me, considering - if you take out all the name calling, - I have only spoken a handful of words to Kai, not to mention his personality and reputation, Suho still hadn't changed his mind. He expected me to be Kai's what? Keeper?

The idea itself was a pure joke, so much so that if I didn't know any better I would say that Suho was planning to set me up to fail. Which had me thinking, was that what this was about? He wanted me to fail? If so there could only be one reason for this and the idea of it had me shivering with dread.

"Well the other term on the contract specifically says you will do what I say you to, so here I am saying. Do you best, I'll try not to be too harsh if you fail."

If you asked me, 'when you fail' would have been a better choice of words but he had hung up after his revelation before I could bring that up.

I swore Suho was a sadist. Seducing Kai was at least a little better because well he's a guy that chased after girls and I had enough confidence to give it a shot. As long as I managed to get his attention there was a good chance that sex would follow. After all, I didn't think he was too picky with his girls. But to have enough power over him to make him "behave" was like telling me to take a wild tiger out for a walk in the family park. It was bound to end up in my death with many more bystanders injured. Not a pretty picture.

Worst of it all was that I hadn't even bothered asking Suho where to find Kai today because Rian had already told me all of them were celebrating one of the guy's birthday at Nightlife, a club well known for its high profile clients. Which also meant everyone, including Rian was going to be there.

I would really have preferred to spare her the worry I was going to cause, specially not knowing what Suho was going to come up with next since this was going to be a clear failure. My head was already putting everything together, giving me more than a hint how this would all end. It was a conclusion that made my skin crawl.

"Jina, what's going on?" Rian asked me with worry and confusion, appearing beside the bouncers at the entrance.

Lucky for me I didn't even have to think up a lie because Sehun was right behind her, taking her attention away from me. I let out a relieved sigh, making my way into the club floor.
