Chapter 08 – Her Hero

Kai

I entered the room almost ready to give up on Rian's request to lookout for Jina. I had better things to do than this, damn it. But this time Rian had me. Knowing her, the fact that she asked me, out of everyone else to look out for Jina before she was dragged off by Sehun was my weakness. It said that she trusted me to look out for someone she obvious cared a lot. I was a sucker for stuff like that. Big surprise, I just didn't want to let her down.

However, the sight that I stumbled upon on my quest to find Jina had even me frozen to the spot. But just mere seconds later I was pulling her up off the floor. I don't know what had me interfering, for it seemed like there wasn't exactly anything bad happening. And Jina sure didn't look like she was being forced or needed helping out but it was the same feeling I had when I first interfered when I saw her being groped at her job and then again when I saw the shuttered look that came over her when I asked her whether she was a virgin.

I wasn't such an unfeeling ass to not realize what pity felt like and while there maybe some pity that I felt for her situation, this was not it. Which left me to figure out what it was that made me react this way towards this particular girl that was practically a stranger. A very beautiful stranger nonetheless but that wasn't it either. I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful girls on a day-to-day basis but none of them had me behaving like I was auditioning to be their damn hero. The thought brought a grimace to my face and if the current mood weren't so somber, I would have burst out laughing at that ridiculous idea.

Ridiculous thoughts aside, I wondered whether I was still not over her? Was that it? Because there was no denying the attraction between us, an attraction that should have faded away when I had her moaning beneath me. It had always been the case with many others that managed to grab my attention but not with Jina it seemed.

Jina

A few minutes passed before either of us reacted. I still was still trying to think why it bothered me so much that he walked in on me doing such a despicable act when I've done worse in front of many others.

I moved away from him and bent down to reach for the shirt the guy had given me only to have Kai pull it out of my reach and throw it behind him.

"Really? Giving head for a shirt? ... How fucking desperate are your?" He asked, more like growled really. "Not to mention, where the hell did your clothes go?"

Okay that was one hell of a way to start off a conversation but at least it let me know that he didn't know.

"Why are you here?" I asked trying to reach for the shirt again while ignoring his other questions.

He stared at me for a while, urging me to answer before he gave in with a shrug. "Rian was furious at Suho, Sehun took her home but she begged me to look after you." He shrugged like it was nothing important but his words had me stopping to think for a second because it was impossible to think that anyone could make him do anything.

"Do you like her?" I asked looking up at him while trying to hide my shock, which considering my current situation was a highly inappropriate question, not to mention that I had no business asking anything personal like that from him.

He blinked, looked away from my eyes then blinked again and looked back at me. His answer was clear in his reaction.

"Like hell I would." He frowned. Yeah right. Either he still hasn't figured it out or he was down playing it because he didn't want to mess with his best friends girl. I had a feeling it was more the latter than the former because Kai didn't strike me as the clueless type. Many would vouch that Kai had no such morals but I've seen different.
