True Intentions

Chapter 23 – True Intentions

"Don't ever pull a stunt like you did this morning."

There was a dramatic pause as we started at each other for a moment.

Me with fury in my eyes and him with an unreadable expression on his face.

I couldn't help but be worried where this new hell would lead.

"You have no right to make any demands like that." I snapped at him with a glare.

"Well, before? Not so much but now that I have declared you mine for what you owe me, yes I damn well do." He lifted his arm up and grazed his fingers down my face, desire shining in his eyes. "I'm about to go crazy because I want to kiss you." I don't know whether he did it on purpose but his word's in this particular context made me feel cheap and filthy.

"Don't you dare touch me!" I shouted but he ignored my words, pulling me towards him when I tried to push him back. His arms went around me to pull me into a tight hug. I knew it was pointless to fight. "I never thought you could hurt me with your words this bad Kai – what you said earlier yesterday and now this." My voice sounded defeated, even to my own ears. "You say you will be the last person to see me as a whore but then you turn around and treat me like cheap filth." I felt him tense against my body. It was clear I had dealt a big blow to him.

"You got this all wrong kitten, that's your shattered dignity and pride talking. I could never see you as something cheap. What's wrong with me wanting to kiss you? We've always had this explosive chemistry between us. We have proved it over and over again, each night we've stayed up fucking from dusk to dawn." He pulled back to look into my eyes but mine were cast down, I couldn't meet his.

"There's a difference, that was a choice I made but apparently I am no longer free to make that choice either. So whatever happens between us after this is going to be nothing but an act of money."

I saw the break I have been looking when I saw his shocked expression at my words. He hadn't considered it that way and he was too late to cover up his reaction, letting me an 'in' into getting back at him. I wasn't above using it to my advantage. I maybe feeling defeated but it took a lot more than this to beat me to the ground.

"What's holding you back?" I slid my arms around his waist and felt him stiffen up even more as the unexpected change in my attitude. "I though you wanted to kiss. I have no right to reject so you can go ahead and do whatever you want."

He made no move, staying still as a stone statue and a very handsome one at that. The fact that I was still able to appreciate him while in this situation just went to show what a fool I was.

"Jina, what the hell?" He tried to untangle and move away from me but I tightened my grip.

"Maybe you prefer I make the first move?" I leaned up and moved my lips close to his. "You look so good - master." I whispered before laying my lips on his only to be pushed away.

"Oh my fucking life!" He cursed while pulling on his hair. "I'm getting goose bumps of horror here."

I knew I should have held in my laughter but I couldn't. It wasn't quite what he put me through for thinking he was dying at a hospital but that was the best I could come up with given the situation.

"Serves you right." I gasped in between laughs.

"Okay fine, I give up on that one since I guess I kind of deserved it, though, you're one kinky girl, pulling out that 'master' crap. Not my cup of coffee, kitten, so better not do it again if you don't want to scare me away."
