Chapter 21 – Last Chance 

Kai

I winced as Suho's fist unexpectedly connected with my Jaw. That was definitely going to leave a bruise. Not to mention my cheek was already sore from the slap Jina dished out before leaving me stunned in the middle of everyone.

"How the fuck could you push her into such a corner that she would rather walk through a crowd without her clothes on than to stay in your company?" Suho pushed my hand away and the drink in my hand fell to the ground with a crash, splashing whisky all up on our jeans.

"You are fucking unredeemable at this point and all this is now on me because I thought you might actually finally get your act together if I pushed you into the company of a girl like Jina. But oh no! What do you do instead? You make her life even more of hell than it was before." He sighed looking at me with what looked like disgust. "You were fucking supposed to help each other asshole, not wreck her life even more." He shouted in my face.

I was lucid enough to hear all that but with all the drugs I snorted up my nose and the alcohol in my system, I was having a hard time comprehending the meaning. I could only grin as I looked up to see a very blurry version of his face. "Fucking hell, your high as a kite." He swore. "Take him away and into my apartment." I heard him say and felt hands on my arms, pulling me up out of the booth I was seated on before dragging me away.

"When you wake up, we are going to have a chat. I'm just about ready to give up on you myself Kai. This is going to be you last chance. Fuck it up and I'm going to cut you off."

Jina

I don't know what it was about the water hitting my skin, but instantly I was resting my back against the shower wall for support as I let the tears come.

I had been holding them back for so long but right now; in my own company I couldn't hold it back anymore. I felt like I was broken and I knew even though right now I felt like it was the end for me, it was only a matter of time before I moved on because after all Kai was just another guy. I may have seen him as special but like everyone else he left me with nothing but hurt and disappointment.

It took me a good while to drain myself out of all the tears and get myself back under control. Once I was out of the shower I had to put my mask back on or risk letting my sister find out what happened. I couldn't have been more glad that I had actually asked her to leave before everything went to hell. It would have devastated her to witness something like that.

"So what happened after I left?" Yeena cornered me as soon as I was out of the shower.

"To be honest, me and Rian couldn't leave there fast enough." I rolled my eyes for effect. "It was too damn stuffy and frustrating in there."

"Really? Oh well, .." She trailed off with a disappointed look on her face. She probably expected me to share some juicy gossip with her.

"You got home okay?"

"Uh?" Was that a blush on her cheeks? "Yup, nothing eventful on my end either." She looked too rushed and a little bit defensive, like she had to explain herself. Any other time I would have grilled her for information but right now I wanted to leave before I broke down in front of her.

"I need to leave or I'm going to be late for work, we will catch up later okay." I gave her a forced smile while I tried to dress as quickly as I possibly could. I knew she was hurt by my dismissive attitude by the look on her face but at the same time I was so close to loosing it. Apparently crying myself out in the shower wasn't enough.

"You have work today as well?" She frowned.

"Yeah, couldn't get out of it." Actually I didn't but I just needed to get out of there.
