Entry #2: Her Thought

HER THOUGHT

Nagsimula ang lahat noong time na nag aagawan kayong magbabarkada doon sa freshman, which was sadly, already the girlfriend of one of your friends. So you ended up being dumped without even trying.

I hate to admit it but when I saw how you looked at her, how you admired and gave her attention, that was when I had this Idea. I don't know why I did it, pero Its all been done.

I straightened my long wavy hair, stopped wearing make-up, I didn't even do my nails and when you finally noticed me, that was when I knew all of it was worth it.

"Natalie right?" kunoot noo mo pang saad noon.

Pansin ko iyong pagtataka mo ng makita mo ako. Pero siyempre hindi ko iyon pinahalata, I smiled as demure as possible, since iyon naman ang pansin kong gusto mo. I never did understand why you like those kind of girls, they look so cheap and unsophisticated yet I still acted like one just for you.

"Yes" I said as polite as possible.

But in truth I wanted to squeal right then and there.

Kung alam mo lang kung gaano katagal kong hinintay na mapansin mo maiintindihan mo siguro. Ofcourse I never told you that.

"I barely recognized you" saad mo.

"Talaga. Bakit?" pinilit kong pigilan ang sobrang tuwa.

My insides were basically screaming in sheer excitement.

"You look different, I mean you look" napalunok ka pa habang tinitingnan mo mula ulo ko hanggang paa "good. You look really good".

Kitang kita ko kung gaano mo kagusto ang bago kong hitsura kaya naman kahit naiirita na ako sa ganoon ay wala akong naging pag sisisi.

After that palagi mo na akong pinapansin, hindi mo na rin ako sinusupladuhan tulad ng dati kapag nilalapitan kita, everything changed for the better, kaya naman I was so happy.

Until dumating iyong punto na hinatid mo ako sa house. I was so overwhelmed by the fact na the thing that I dreamt about is finally coming true and when you bent to give me that kiss, I wasn't able to control myself. I made sure to savor it.

But that was a mistake, I noticed that when you broke off our kiss, kitang kita ko iyong kunot ng noo mo, halatang nagulat.

"Bakit?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Nothing"

I felt chills when you suddenly became so serious, again you just smiled at me while I was leaving your car, silent like you used to be.

I couldn't help but cry when I thought it was all over, that everything was ruined because of my stupidity. But then you started showing up again. I would see you patiently standing outside my classroom, waiting and watching.

So I continued. I stayed as simple as possible just for you, just so you would notice me again.

Yet the next few weeks were like a slow agonizing death march, I would always see you there yet whenever I go out you would always be gone.

My friends started noticing; even my professor couldn't help but look at me in awe as I always try to be the first to come out just to see you.

"Natalie, ano ba nangyayari sa iyo?" my bestfriend Chelsea asked.

Kahit na hindi ko sila gustong sagutin dahil abala ako sa paghahanap sa iyo. Hindi ko naman sila magawang baliwalain.

"Parang lagi ka na lang tulala" Bea added.
