"No, Lauren. That's not happening." Dinah argued taking the small baby from her girlfriend's arms.

"What do you mean that's not happening?" Lauren demanded. She watched as Dinah walked away from her with their son in her arms. Lauren stormed after Dinah, not exactly ready to end the argument.

They were currently arguing about which one of them got to take Omar with them for the holidays. Lauren wanted to take him to Miami, but Dinah was not having it. She didn't want to be on the other side of the country from her son.

"Dinah, we weren't finished." Lauren called. Dinah whipped around while patting Omar on his back.

"What's there to finish? I'm not letting you take my son across the country." Dinah said calmly. She walked over to his play pen and set the five month old down, letting him play while they talked.

"Your son? He's my son too." Lauren countered. "I just want to take him to see my family during thanksgiving. You can come too."

"And miss out on seeing my brothers and sisters? My family wants to see him too." Dinah replied.

"We live in California when we're not touring. They can see him anytime they want." Lauren huffed.

"My answer is still no, Lauren." Dinah went to grab Omar's bottle out of the refrigerator.

"So where is he supposed to go for the holidays? With you?"

Dinah nodded as she placed the bottle in the microwave. "I was kind of hoping you would both come with me."

"I have to see my parents and my other family members, Dinah. I thought we agreed that when the baby came, we were going to split the responsibility evenly?"

"How is this a responsibility? I don't want to be away from my son for thanksgiving."

"If you just came to my family's house, you wouldn't have to be away from him." Lauren offered. Dinah sent her a glare. "What? I'm serious. I get that you want to see your family, but we can go there for Christmas."

"I'm not going to make you miss Christmas with your family." Dinah shook her head. "We just need to think of a plan."

"There is no plan. We can't tear him in half."

"Just let me take him with me for thanksgiving and we can both go to your family's house for Christmas." Dinah offered.

"You want me to be away from my son?" Lauren gave Dinah a look. "You're insane."

Dinah huffed. "We're never going to come to a conclusion."

"My parents haven't seen him since he was born. At least your family has been able to be with him."

"I get that, but I don't think I can make it more than a few hours away from him." Dinah admitted.

Lauren sighed heavily as she thought. "Fine, I'll go to your family's house for thanksgiving, if you come to my family's house for Christmas. We can even Skype your family Christmas day and spend New Year's Day with them."

"What about New Year's eve?"

"We can spend that alone here in our own home with the girls."

Dinah smiled. "Okay." She leaned down and kissed Lauren's lips lightly. "Thank you for understanding."

"Well, a very wise man said that 'It's compromise that moves us along.'" Lauren giggled against Dinah's lips.

"Didn't Adam Levine say that?" Dinah asked and Lauren nodded.

"Well, I like compromises."

"Me too." Lauren said as she kissed Dinah again.
