It had been a bad week for Lauren. She had gotten cold from the dramatic change in weather as she went from the east to the west side of the US. The cold had gotten worse as the week moved on, and she lost her voice from the constant coughing.

It was now Friday and the cold was almost gone, thankfully, but Lauren still hadn't gained her voice back. Their vocal coach had put her on official vocal rest for the rest of the week in hopes to get her voice back for their next show.

The worst part wasn't not being able to speak, though. Lauren hated the cold because she hadn't been able to kiss Ally all week. That had never happened before as they were a very kissy couple. It was hard to keep their lips separated, but Ally refused to kiss her while she was sick.

Lauren slumped on the couch sadly as she watched the girls giggle and laugh on the other side of the room. A smile graced her face as she heard Ally's giggle ring from out of her precious mouth. It sucked that she couldn't talk, but she was content watching the woman she loved so deeply have fun. There was nothing that made her happier than to see Ally happy.

"Aw! This is no fun without Lauren's witty comments!" Normani whined.

"No, I think its good because she can't correct me!" Dinah joked. Lauren chuckled.

"I wish you could talk, babe." Ally pouted at her girlfriend. Suddenly, her face brightened and she ran back to her bunk.

"What just happened?" Camila asked with a confused expression.

Ally ran back with a small white board in her hand and three different color markers. "You can use this to tell us what you think!" She cheered, shoving it into Lauren's hands.

Lauren took the cap off of one of the markers and quickly scribbled something on the board before turning it over. 'Thanks J"

"I love Lauren's handwriting. It's not fair." Normani whined.

"My handwriting looks worse than Sofi's and she's 6." Camila giggled.

'That's because you write too quickly. If you'd just slow down, you'd have better handwriting'

"How do you write so fast?"

'It's a talent.' Lauren shrugged.

After a few minutes of talking, the girls dispersed to do their own thing leaving Ally and Lauren alone in the living room area of the bus.

'You're really beautiful.' Lauren wrote with a smile. She earned a cute giggle in response and it fueled her to continue.

'I love you.'

'You have the most beautiful eyes.'

'I'm so lucky to have you.'

'You're so amazing.'

By this point she had Ally blushing so hard. "Stop being so cute!" She giggled.

'You're always cute.'

"You're so cheesy!" Ally giggled loudly. Lauren put the marker and board down for a second and pulled Ally into her lap. Once they were sitting comfortably, Lauren picked the board back up.

'Comfortable?"

"Very." Ally smiled down at her girlfriend.

'Kiss me?'

"But you're sick, Lo."

'But I miss your lips.' Lauren pouted. 'I'm not even sick anymore. My cold is almost completely gone.'

"If I kiss you, then I'm going to get sick and then I won't be able to sing."

'I promise it'll be worth it'

Ally giggled and shook her head. "You're so stubborn!"

'I love you.' Lauren pouted.

Ally rolled her eyes at the face.

Giving Ally her best puppy dog face, she wrote another message on the board. 'Kiss me?'

Ally rolled her eyes and gave Lauren a peck on the lips, but instead of letting her pull back, Lauren let the board and the marker fall to the floor and pulled Ally closer to her by the waist. She deepened the kiss and Ally moaned into the younger girl's mouth.

After a minute, Ally pulled back and looked at Lauren who wore a satisfied look. She reach around Ally's body and grabbed the board yet again.

'See? Totally worth it.'

"Maybe." Ally smirked.
