Dinah sat on the opposite side of the table from Lauren, and smirked as her girlfriend gave her a seductive wink. Lauren was practically eye fucking her from the other side of the table.

"I like this." Lauren broke the comfortable silence. "I forgot what it was like to go somewhere without a four year old."

"Me too. It's nice to have a conversation not about Power Rangers or Cars." Dinah joked.

Lauren nodded but then send a small pout at her girlfriend. "But I miss him."

Dinah nodded in agreement. "Me too."

The waiter came back with their check, and they quickly paid. Once out of the restaurant, Lauren grabbed Dinah's hand and began walking back towards their car, but Dinah pulled them to a stop.

"How about we go take a walk on the boardwalk? I mean, it's right there, and we have the girls watching Omar. It'll just take half an hour."

"Sure." Lauren smiled and leaned up to kiss the taller girl. "I would love to take a walk with you."

Both girls started their way to the boardwalk that was only a few feet away from the parking lot. Suddenly, Dinah's phone rang. She sighed heavily and answered it.

"What, Mani?"

"You have to meet us at the hospital." Normani said urgently into the phone.

"Why?! Did something happen to Omar?!" Dinah panicked. Lauren's head snapped to Dinah and gave her a concerned look.

"Yes, just meet us at the hospital."

"Normani, what happened?" Dinah asked. Lauren grabbed the keys from Dinah's jacket pocket and ran to their car. Her heart was pounding and she felt like she couldn't breathe. Something was wrong with her son. Her baby boy.

"Lauren, let me drive." Dinah said from behind her. Lauren jumped at the sound of her voice, but still climbed into the driver's seat and put the key in the ignition. "Lauren, seriously. I'm driving."

"Fuck off, Dinah. My son is on the way to the hospital, and I need to see him. It's either get your ass in the car or I'm leaving you." Lauren snapped with tears running down her face. Her breathing was sporadic and her heart was pumping so quickly that she could hear it in her ears.

"No, you're in no condition to drive."

"How the hell are you so calm? Our son is being taken to the hospital!" Lauren let her sobs take over her body and she tried to close the door, but Dinah stopped her.

"One of us has to be strong for both of us. If I let you drive, you're going to end up in the hospital, and I can't take having the two most important people in my life in the hospital. Just get in the passenger seat, and I'll take us to him."

Lauren looked over at Dinah's pleading look. "Baby, please?" Dinah begged. Lauren nodded and quickly climbed over the middle panel of the car and into the passenger seat. Dinah hurriedly got into the driver's seat, put on her seat belt, and sped off.

They both arrived at the nearest hospital almost fifteen minutes later, and Lauren was out of the car before it even stopped rolling. Dinah threw the car into park and ran after her girlfriend, easily catching up to her with the use of her long legs.

As the arrived at the Emergency room nurses station, Lauren slapped her hands down on the desk. The receptionist jumped at the sound. "I need to know where my son is!" Lauren sobbed.

"Okay, ma'am. Calm down and tell me his name."

"Omar Hansen. He was brought in a few minutes ago." Lauren got out through sobs.

The receptionist scanned the computer screen while Dinah tried her best to comfort the sobbing girl. Sure, Dinah was terrified and she wanted to see Omar more than anything, but she needed to be strong for Lauren. She needed her.

"Ma'am your son is being examined right now. You're more than welcome to go back there." The receptionist pointed to the double doors just beside the waiting room.

As Lauren and Dinah walked over to the doors, Camila and Ally ran out into the hallway. The attacked Lauren in a hug, seeing as she was the one that needed the most comfort at the moment.

"Guys, what the hell happened? Where's Mani?"

"Mani went back there with Omar while he's being examined." Ally told them.

"What happened?" Lauren asked. "Please tell me he's okay."

"He should be fine. He was jumping on the bed and everything was fine, but then he fell and landed on his arm, and he wouldn't stop crying and it was so horrible." Camila said with tears in her eyes. "We're so sorry, guys."

Lauren shook her head. "It's okay. Accidents happen. I just need to see him." Lauren pushed the doors open and walked into the busy ER with Dinah following.

"Can I help you?" A nurse asked.

"We're looking for our son, Omar Hansen."

"Oh! He's the cutie with the broken arm? He's right over there." The nurse pointed to an area with a closed curtain. "We had to make sure that he was in a secluded area in case someone noticed him or the woman he's with. Apparently she's kind of famous." The nurse smiled. Lauren rolled her eyes and hurried over to the curtain. She pulled it back to reveal Normani standing next to a smiling Omar with a dark blue cast on his right arm.

"Mommy!" Omar cheered upon seeing Lauren. Lauren stepped forward and pulled Omar in for a hug, careful not to disturb his arm.

"Oh thank God." Lauren breathed out and placed multiple kisses in her son's hair. Dinah walked up behind them and wrapped her arms around them both.

"Mommy, what's wrong?" Omar asked, touching Lauren's tear stained cheek.

"I was worried about you, Mar." Lauren took a deep breath. "You scared me."

Omar pouted. "I'm sorry, mommy. Please don't be scared. The doctor said that I broketed my arm, and that I gots to wear this cast for a little while." Omar shrugged.

Dinah sent her son a smile, mentally thanking everything that he was okay and smiling. "Yeah, we know."

"Guys, I'm really sorry. I took my eyes off of him for two seconds and then he was on the ground." Normani said frantically. "I'm so sorry."

Lauren smiled at her best friend. "It's okay." She sniffled. "He's okay, and that's all that matters." Lauren kissed Omar's head again.
