Lauren pulled Ally closer, letting the girl snuggled deeper into the side of her neck. It had been almost a week since Ally's grandfather had passed away, and his death was still taking a huge toll on the older girl.

Ally had moved on from the crying stage, but now Lauren was afraid the woman was falling into depression. It broke Lauren's heart to see her girlfriend so upset. It was like a piece of Lauren was missing now that Ally was down, and she needed that piece to be returned before she could live again.

Lauren placed a kiss on Ally's forehead before she moved so that she was face to face with her. "Hey, how are you today?"

Ally let out a huge sigh. "I feel like I can't breathe." Ally replied. Her grandfather was such a huge part of her life, and she was going to miss him terribly. It made her even more upset to know that she couldn't go to his funeral.

"Do you feel like talking about it some more? You know that I'm right here to listen." Lauren told the woman, rubbing her arm.

Ally shook her head. "I'm okay."

Lauren was surprised that Ally's eyes didn't well with tears as they had the previous days. She was so proud of Ally because she knew she was trying her hardest to overcome her loss, and she was doing a great job.

"You're so strong." Lauren whispered, kissing Ally's forehead again. She held the woman tightly until sleep overcame her tiny body. Lauren made sure the girl was in a deep sleep before slipping out of bed and walking down into the kitchen of the mansion. The other contestants were in there laughing and eating. When Lauren entered the room, everyone get quiet.

"Hey, how is she?" Carly asked.

"She's doing better. She's so strong. She's really trying her hardest." Lauren told them.

"What's she doing?" Cece wondered. She and Jennel had been worried sick about the girl knowing from all their girl's nights that Ally and her grandpa were close.

"She's taking a nap. I came down here to get something to eat. I can't take care of her if I'm dead."

"True." Keaton nodded. "Is there anything we can do?"

"Um, I think she just wants to be by herself right now. She's been getting better, and this morning she actually smiled."

"That's awesome." Drew piped in. Lauren smiled at her fellow contestants.

"She'll be happy to know that she has such a great support system."

"Of course, Dawg. We're a family!"

"Si!" Camila giggled.

"Just tell Ally that we love her and we can't wait to spend some time with her." Normani told Lauren.

"I will, now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to eat something quickly and go back upstairs before she wakes up alone."

~XOXOX~

When Ally did wake up, she looked over at Lauren who was completely enthralled in the book on her lap. Ally was so grateful for her girlfriend. She had been so sweet and caring for the past week, and Ally knew that she had found someone that truly cared for her.

"Laur," Ally whispered. Lauren's eyes snapped to the older girl and her face broke out into a huge smile.

"Hey, sleepyhead." Lauren set her book down and turned slightly.

"How long was I out?"

"Just over two hours. I'm glad you finally slept, though. I was starting to get worried." Lauren admitted, running her fingers though Ally's hair.

Ally smiled, a sight in which made Lauren's heart swell. "Thank you for taking care of me."

"Of course. You mean so much to me." Lauren replied. "Are you hungry?" Ally nodded and Lauren rolled out of bed, pulling Ally with her. They made their way to the kitchen, which only held the rest of the members of Fifth Harmony.

"Ally!" Camila ran and embraced the smaller girl. Normani and Dinah followed suit until it was one large group hug.

"Hey guys!" Ally giggled at her friends. "I'm glad to see I was missed."

"We're glad to see you smiling." Normani replied. Dinah kissed Ally's forehead and pulled her to the stools that sat at the island in the center of the kitchen.

"So, how are you?" Camila asked. The three girls sat down to start their conversation while Lauren moved around the kitchen to prepare something to eat for the older woman.

"Honestly, I feel okay." Ally nodded. "All this week I felt one broken string away from a meltdown, but I've been doing some praying and I feel like God told me that he's in a better place. He won't hurt anymore and that's what matters. I mean, sure I'm going to miss him, but I know that he's looking down on me." Ally smiled softly.

"You're such a fighter, dawg." Dinah grabbed Ally's hand.

"Well, I only won this fight because I had an awesome coach to guide me through it." Ally spared a glance at Lauren. "Plus, now my grandpa can watch over us in competition. I want to win for him. He always told me that I could reach my dreams no matter how big they were. I want to prove him right."

"And you will." Lauren kissed Ally's forehead again.
