Normani's POV

As I walked through the parking lot towards the school, everything seemed normal. I saw Camila and Ally standing in front of the doors as they waited for me. Being the most popular girls in school meant that we couldn't do anything without each other. Not even walk into school.

As I approached them, they look up and smiled. "Hey, girls."

"Hey." Camila replied shortly. Her voice was low, almost sorry.

"What's up?" I asked. I was a little confused by the tone of voice they were using.

"We have to tell you something." They pulled me over to one of the many tables on campus in clear view of the parking lot. We sat down and Camila pulled out her phone.

"We saw this on Twitter today." She showed me a picture of Lauren and Cece Frey, AKA the richest girl in school. Cece was known for sleeping around and partying, and she loved bad boy types.

"People said that they saw them together yesterday." Ally told me.

"Lauren was with me all night and this morning." I replied quietly.

Camila gave me a sad look. "Did she tell you where she was yesterday afternoon?"

"No, we don't have to check in with each other."

Ally and Camila shared a knowing look. "Mani, Cece isn't the type of girl that just hangs out with someone."

Just as I was about to say something, I heard Lauren's motorcycle pull into the parking lot. Of course my heartbeat picked up drastically, wanting nothing more than to see the face that I had fallen madly in love with, but my heart dropped when I saw that she wasn't alone on the motorcycle.

Lauren pulled into her usual parking spot and turned off the bike before popping the kick stand out and climbing off it. She then turned at helped the passenger off the bike. My heart went wild as she pulled off her helmet and flipped her hair like she usually did.

The passenger took of their helmet, and sure enough it was Cece. Why the hell was Lauren giving Cece a ride to school? She had just spent the night with me and she didn't mention going to pick up Cece.

Something's going on.

I watched with a glare as Cece and Lauren walked past me and into the school. Lauren sent me a wink just as she did every day, but I sent her a hard glare back. Unfortunately, Lauren didn't see my glare as she turned to Cece once more and smirked.

Camila and Ally pulled me into the school and held me close to them knowing that I have a short temper and I was extremely aggressive. I'm glad they did, because there was nothing I wanted to do more than slap that bitch in her face.

Cece Frey was a dead woman.

I didn't see Lauren or Cece again until after third period. They were standing at Lauren's locker while Lauren grabbed her books for her next class. Most people don't know this, but Lauren was extremely intelligent. She's easily the smartest person I know, and she didn't hide it. People just assumed she was dumb.

Cece was leaning against the locker next to Lauren's, laughing at something that Lauren had said. Her laugh was unbelievably annoying. It sounded like some kind of freight train, and it made me want to kill her even more.

"Normani, don't." Camila warned. "Remember what Coach Cowell with do if you come out. Lauren is not worth losing your popularity."

I shot Camila a glare. "Not worth losing my popularity? Are you fucking kidding, Cabello? Lauren is more than worth it."

Camila gulped at the sound of Normani's voice. "I'm just saying, getting kicked off the dance team means that you won't be able to go to the Houston School of Dance. You know that's what you've been working for since you were a kid."

I sighed and glanced at the duo at Lauren's locker again. "I love her."

"Aw, Mani bear." Ally cooed as she pulled me into a hug.

I needed to talk to Lauren.

~Laurmani~

I pulled up to Lauren's house after school and walked into the house without even bothering to knock on the door. Both of Lauren's parents were constantly working and her siblings were shipped off to live with their aunt last year. Lauren practically lived alone, which was great for me, but I was constantly worried about her, so she spent a lot of time with me and my family.

"Hello?" I heard Lauren call from the living room. "Who the fuck is in my house?" Lauren asked as she stormed into the room with her softball bat in her hands.

"Calm down, tiger. It's just me."

Lauren smiled when she saw me and instantly walked over to me. She leaned down and tried to place a kiss on my lips, but I pulled away. She gave me a confused look.

"Mani, what's wrong?"

"I want to know why the fuck you're hanging out with Cece Frey." I demanded. I felt the anger coming back from earlier, and it was bubbling out of control.

"Babe, calm down." She rolled her eyes.

"No, I won't calm down. I want to know why my girlfriend is spending time with the school whore."

"You don't even know her." Lauren snapped.

"Oh, so now you're defending her?" I demanded.

"Oh my god." Lauren mumbled. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed heavily.

"Tell me, Lauren. How long have you been fucking her?"

"I'm not fucking her!" She snapped. "Why the hell would you ask that?"

"Oh I don't know. Just the fact that you're hanging out with the school slut and everyone in the entire school thinks that you two are fucking."

"Well, we aren't." Lauren said. "Why are you listening to those idiots at school? Half of them want to fuck you and the other half want to be you."

Now it was my turn to sigh. "Then why are you hanging out with her? And why was she on your motorcycle?"

"She's trying to get Camila to go out on a date with her." Lauren smirked. "And you're jealous."

"I'm not jealous."

"You so are."

"Okay, I'm jealous, but wouldn't you be? If I were to show up to school in Arin's car, wouldn't you be jealous?"

Lauren's eyes filled with rage. "Hell yeah! If Arin even talks to you, I'll fucking kill that guy."

"See?"

"That's different. We all know Arin loves you. Cece is just a friend. She wants Cabello, so I was helping her with some details about her."

"Camila is straight."

"Are you kidding? Camila checks me out more than you do." She laughed. "Cabello would totally swoon for Cece."

I scoffed. "I don't want my best friend going out with some whore. Camila is far too sweet to get humped and dumped."

"Cece isn't like that. She's a really cool girl."

"I don't believe you. How am I supposed to trust her after all the things I've heard about her?"

Lauren walked up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist, kissing my temple. "You trust me." She kissed my forehead, "Before we got together, all you heard were bad things about me, and now you're in love with me." She smirked.

"That's only because of your motorcycle." I joked. I wrapped my arms around her neck, pulling her face closer to mine. I could never stay mad at her.

"Okay." She mocked. "Just give Cece a chance. Please?"

I rolled my eyes at the love of my life. "Fine, but I don't like it."

"Thank you." She smiled and kissed my lips lightly. "I love you."

"I love you too...sometimes." I joked and she laughed, kissing me again.
