Lauren shifted the small baby in her arms so that he was laying with his head on her chest. She had only been out of the hospital for a few days, and being a mom still seemed to be pretty surreal.

"Hi, Omar. Good morning." She cooed to the yawning baby. Omar opened his bright eyes for a moment to look at his mom before closing them again.

Lauren smiled proudly at the tiny baby in her arms. She was beyond proud to say that she had created this life with one of the most amazing people she knew.

"I'm so happy you're here, now." She said softly. "I've been waiting for you for nine long months." She kissed the baby's soft forehead. "In those nine months, your mama and I have grown up a lot. I know we're really young, but we're going to try to be the best moms someone could ask for. I can't promise that we won't mess up, but we will always love you more than anything else in the world. Your mama and I love you so much, and we will never stop loving you."

Lauren closed her eyes and slowly began rocking herself and Omar in the chair, loving the calming feeling in the room. She was so caught up that she didn't notice Dinah leaning against the door of the nursery with a smile on her face.

"I'm just so proud to call myself your mommy, Omar. I never thought that I would even be a mom, let alone be a mom with one of the most amazing people in the world. Your mama is one of the best people I have ever met, and she loves you so much. You should have seen her when I told her about you. She was so happy."

"To be fair, it was one of the happiest days of my life." Dinah added in making Lauren's eyes snap to her.

"You heard all that?" Lauren blushed. Dinah nodded and went to sit on the arm of the chair.

"Yeah."

"I thought you were out getting diapers."

"It doesn't take long to drive down the street." Dinah giggled. She reached over and ran her finger down Omar's chubby cheek. "Has he been asleep all this time?"

"He isn't asleep. He was just looking at me." Lauren told her looking at the baby again. "He's just being lazy."

"Nah, he was up all night. He should be exhausted. I know I am." Dinah yawned.

"Go get some sleep. I'm okay." Lauren looked up at her girlfriend.

"No. I want to stay here with my family." She smiled down at Lauren and kissed her lightly. "I still cannot believe you had my baby."

"Believe it." Lauren giggled. "My body will never be the same."

Dinah cringed. "Yeah, he was a big one, huh?"

"Big one? More like huge! He weighs almost ten pounds!" Lauren whisper-yelled.

"Lo, don't make him feel like he's fat." Dinah scolded and Lauren giggled again. "He's just meaty."

"He's huge. If we ever have another child, it won't even hurt." Lauren joked.

"You're such a drama queen." Dinah laughed. "He isn't that big. Look how tiny he is." Dinah gestured to the small baby.

"You tell that to my vagina." Lauren rolled her eyes and moved Omar a little. He let out a small coo and yawned before opening his eyes.

"Hi, baby boy." Dinah smiled brightly. "Good morning."

Omar looked at his two mothers with curious eyes. His mouth was open and he stuck his tongue out multiple times while squirming. Both women watched as the baby moved. It was so surreal to see the life that they created.

"He's so perfect." Dinah whispered. "Thank you so much."

"No, thank you." Lauren looked up into Dinah's eyes. "You've made my life so perfect."

"You've done so much more for me." Dinah replied kissing Lauren again.
