Morning Surprise 💜👶🏼

"Mama! Mama! Wake up!" Maya giggled as she jumped on top of her sleeping mother. Lauren cracked a tired green eye open to look at her energetic daughter. She smiled at the small 4 year old, pulling her from on top of her and into her arms.

"Mommy says it's time for breakfast." Maya told her with a smile on her face. Lauren took a moment to take in her daughter's beauty. Maya was definitely the perfect mix between her two mothers. She had Ally's hair color and texture as well as Ally's big brown eyes. She got Lauren's skin tone and her smile and it seemed like she had inherited Lauren's height as well.

"Did she really say that?" Lauren spoke groggily.

Maya nodded and giggled. "She's making chocolate chip pancakes!"

Lauren groaned playfully and pulled herself into a sitting position with Maya still in her arms. "Okay, go tell Mommy that I'll be there in a second." Lauren set the small girl on her feet and watched her little legs take her from the room.

Lauren stretched her limbs before rolling out of the bed and walking into the bathroom that was attached to her bedroom. She quickly washed her face and brushed her teeth before walking out of the bathroom. As she walked out into the living room of her and Ally's shared condo, she heard singing and giggling coming from the kitchen. Lauren smiled to herself and walked the rest of the way to her kitchen.

"Good morning." Ally greeted with her back turned to Lauren.

"How do you do that? You didn't even look at me." Lauren laughed and she walked up behind Ally and wrapped her arms around the older girl's waist. Ally shrugged and turned in her wife's arms, looking up into her green eyes.

"It's a gift." Ally smiled. Lauren leaned down and pressed a kiss to her wife's lips.

"Good morning." Lauren replied. "It smells fantastic." She pressed a quick kiss to her wife's shoulder, playfully pinching Ally's side.

Ally squealed lightly as she turned back to her pancake mix. "You should thank your daughter. She helped me make the mix and she added the chocolate chips."

Lauren gave a surprised look to her daughter that was sitting at the breakfast bar with a big smile on her face. "Really?"

"Yeah Mama! I'm mommy's helper."

"I see. You're such a big girl." Lauren leaned over the counter and pressed a kiss to her daughter's forehead. Maya wore a proud smile and Ally couldn't help but notice how much she looked like Lauren there.

"Lo, can you please set the table?" Lauren nodded and grabbed a few plates from the cabinet.

"Can I help, Mommy?"

"Sure, can you get some forks from the drawer and bring them to your mama?" Ally asked her daughter. Maya nodded excitedly and raced over to the drawer that held the silverware.

"Maya, what have I told you about running in the house? Especially in the kitchen." Lauren scolded.

Maya sent an apologetic look to Lauren, and the green eyed girl melted almost instantly. Maya's eyes were an exact match to Ally's and Ally's eyes had always been Lauren's weakness. "Sorry, mama."

Lauren placed all three plates on the table and waited patiently for Maya to bring her the silverware. She smiled as she watched Maya carefully pull out the forks as Ally had taught her. Lauren was very stern about safety, and it was something that she didn't take lightly. Her daughter was the light of her life, though she wasn't exactly planned.

FLASHBACK

Ally and Lauren had been a couple for a little over a year, and they were seemingly happy. Their manager had let them come out to the world, and their fans had reacted well. Sure, there were a few homophobes that had a problem with it, but the girls didn't mind.
