"Come on, (Y/F/N), you know it's bullshit if I try to do it. That is, if I want to."

"Oh, come on, (Y/N)! Things like this are only fun when you're young. The diving board isn't even that high up anyways..."

For about 15 minutes of your life, your friend has been trying to get you into doing a backward flip on the high diving board.

Being the person you are, you said no, because your life mattered more than your backward flip on the diving board.

Your friend rolled her eyes, saying, "Just do it, please?"

She then pushed you towards the ladder, and made you climb.

Oh, what the hell is gonna happen? She's right. It'll only be fun for now.

Looking from above made you a bit uneasy. Not being able to know where you will hit makes you even worse. The knot in your stomach seems to be larger and tighter, making the whole horizon spin a little bit.

"I'm waiting!" Your friend calls from below.

"Alright, I'll do it! Damn!"

You jump.

The diving board becomes smaller and smaller as you sink to the pool beneath you.

That is, before you black out.

••••••

Would you have gone on?

gist: You hit the concrete next to the pool and you black out.
