The room was completely white. White walls, white bookshelves, white windowpanes, it goes on.

You wake up in a pool of sweat, jolting out of a terrible nightmare.

You were in a car with your boyfriend, going 125 miles per hour. A truck was heading towards you in your lane, going at the same speed. You had tried to scream but you couldn't seem to get the words out, and before you knew it, you had crashed into the truck.

Slowly recollecting your thoughts of what had happened the night before, you slowly start to remember the fact that your nightmare was your reality...

{flashback - 12 hours before}

You and your boyfriend of 8 months, Ace Merril decides to take a joyride outside of Castle Rock. It was something that was completely normal for the two of you, but there was always something new within. Every damn time.

When you open the door of Ace's 1959 Chevy, you notice Eyeball Chambers, and Charlie Hogan in the backseat. Ace, with a lit cigarette in his mouth, was driving.

Kissing him on the cheek, you pop a piece of gum into your mouth, and nod for him to start the engine.

Wasting no time, Ace races down the road, starting your adventure with the man you loved the most.

Half an hour passes, full of talking and laughing. Charlie is in the middle of telling a story, when Ace interrupts.

"(Y/N), can you get the booze? It's in here," He says, patting the glove compartment, eyes not breaking off of the road for one second.

Popping the compartment open, a variety of alcohol inhabits all four corners of the space inside. You pull out a Jack Daniel's bottle and hand it to him.

"Thanks, love," He mumbles. Ace takes a swig and passes the bottle to Eyeball. The bottle is passed to the guys, and then to you. Taking a large gulp from the bottle, the impact of the alcohol makes you choke, and start coughing violently.

It was warm, and seemed to burn in your throat. Ace, Eyeball and Charlie laughed, not realizing how bad it could get.

You slowly started to calm yourself, and everything started over again. Hours passed, the minutes ticking away, and yet the impact of that truck hit you within 5 seconds of your lifetime.

You had seen the truck in your lane, going the opposite direction- facing Ace's car. Checking the speed that you were going, it was 125 mph.

"Ace, you need to slow down," You say, using as much as your voice as you have left. The alcohol had defeated your throat, and left you with little to no voice at all.

He turns over to you, the bottle of Jack Daniel's resting in his hand. It had been empty for more than a half hour now, and he was starting to get woozy.

"What's gonna happen, huh, babe?" He asks, a slur hinting in his voice, "Someone gonna pull me over?"

Charlie and Eyeball were no help, just drinking and laughing too hard in the backseat. You were the only one sober.

"Ace, pull the fuck over, now!" You shout, frantically pounding your fists on his shoulders, trying to make him understand that if he kept this up, you were going to crash.

But he couldn't hear. The honking of the truck and the fog of the cigarette smoke made it unable to see you scream for your life.

Headlights fill up your eyes, and pretty soon, darkness fell over the four of you as the impact of the lumber truck smashed through the hood of the car.

Silence.

{flash forward to the present}

"Ma'am, if we could have your attention please. Ma'am?"

The flashbacks of the crash come to a stop when a male voice startles you once more.

"I'm sorry, Miss (Y/L/N). I didn't mean to scare you."

You adjust in your bedsheets, embarrassed to look in his eyes.

"It's alright, I was just thinking about what had happened. With the car crash and such."

The man sits in a chair near your bed, and smiles warmly at you.

"I'm Doctor Bennet. You haven't seen me before because you had been out for nearly 13 hours."

You look up at him, and return the smile.

"Pleasure to meet you, Doctor Bennet."

He reaches for a clipboard that is on your desk, and flips through some papers. "Now, you were the victim of a car crash around 3 in the morning, and you were in the passenger seat, correct?"

"Yes, sir." Just thinking about the whole situation in general had made you embarrassed.

"And, you were with three other people that night, am I correct?"

"Yes," You answer, "There was Charlie Hogan, Eye-, I mean, Richard Chambers, and Ace. Ace Merril."

He stops flipping the pages and stares at one of the health charts. Adjusting his glasses, he murmurs, "Oh my god..."

You sit up in your bed, heart pounding in your chest. "Ace is going to be alright, isn't he?"

He flips all the pages back and puts the clipboard onto his lap and holds your hand. It takes him a while to look you in the eyes.

"My dear..." He pauses, removing his glasses, and looking back up at you.

"Richard Chambers and Charlie Hogan are dead. That much is true. Ace is on life support, and..."

He pauses, and this time, he has tears in his eyes.

"He is going to die, (Y/N). Within the next hour."

I'm thinking about putting media in the chapters now, like gifs, etc.
What do you guys think?
