Everything starts with Teddy. Ever since you two met in kindergarten, it was a match. He was your first everything: first person to let you use his crayon, first partner in science class.

He was your first best friend. Nothing seemed to change that. Well, nothing except the feelings you felt for him.

By the end of 5th grade, you had developed some sort of attraction for Teddy. Your mom just smiled, and your (brother/sister) gagged and thought you had cooties.

But you knew something like this wouldn't go away. It was something deep inside you that wished for Teddy to like you just as much you liked him.

Before you both knew it, junior high started and that meant a whole lot of new things. New friends, new teachers, and new tastes. You and Teddy  became so preoccupied with your own lives that you slowly began to drift away.

It wasn't like as if you never talked again, since your mothers were best friends, you were always up to check in with Teddy and see how he's doing.

In fact, you resolved to see him more over the summer. You saw him with Gordie, and Chris and Vern, his longtime buddies, and went to the ice cream bar and so on.

But no matter the distance between you and Teddy, there was still that feeling of affection pounding at your gut.

For now, school's just starting for you two, and your mom decided to drive over to Teddy's house and chat with his mom. In the meantime, you two decided to walk in the woods to pass the time, something that you two had been doing since the 1st grade.

The autumn breeze rustles through the trees, making goosebumps appear on your arm and causing you to shiver slightly.

Teddy notices, and starts taking off his jacket, wrapping it around you.

"Thanks," You say, grateful for some source of warmth to prevent a cold to be caught.

"No problem," He says. "So...how's school going for you? Are you excited about high school?"

"There's nothing to be excited about really- there's only one school to go to!"

It was true. Castle Rock High was the only high school around for miles to come. Still, the tension was placed on you as soon as you walked through the middle school doors.

Teddy laughs, flicking his hair to one side, and putting his hands in his pockets. "True...but it still makes me nervous. You of all people know that I'm not the best student in the class."

You look at him, noticing that his head is down and that his mood is darkening.

"That's not true! You're gonna be great in high school, trust me."

He looks up finally, and smiles.

"Thanks."

"Anytime, Teddy." You punch his arm slightly, and he screams out in fake pain.

"Oh, my arm, my beautiful arm! How could you do this to my arm (Y/N)?!"

You both laugh, enjoying each other's company as the red, yellow and amber leaves brush past your converses.

Teddy calms down, and starts to talk again. "But yeah, I mean, it's not like as if we're gonna be split up or anything."

He comes to a stop. "At least, not in my mind."

You stop too, pausing to notice his features. A slight breeze picks up again, making Teddy's hair messed up.

"There's something that I've kinda wanted to tell you for quite some time now. I just don't know if you feel the same way..."

He combs through his dark brown hair with his fingers, looking down at his shoes with timidness written all over his face. This didn't really seem like Teddy, but you listened anyways.

"Is it weird to say that I've liked you? Like, we've been friends for a while now, and I just don't know...."

He looked up to meet your eyes. "I love you (Y/N). You're beautiful and I don't wanna let the chance of dating you slip through my fingers."

Knowing Teddy, he would always be honest with you. Teddy wasn't the one to tell lies. And knowing that he now had feelings for you, it was like all your wishes came true.

You walk over to Teddy, and tap his shoulder.

"Teddy, can I tell you something?"

"Yeah, of course."

You smile, and feel the heat on your cheeks.

"I love you too."

I'm back! (Finally, I know)

I am sorry for not updating sooner. It feels like forever since I've published a chapter, I don't know why.

Anyways, I will try to be more active now. I started by changing the cover (I hope you like it btw)

I've also been busy because I've working on a Harry Potter book! (Yay!) So I will get to that as well.

Hope you enjoyed this imagine, sorry if it's basic. It will improve, don't worry.
