The music echoed all through the halls as Ace pulled you through the occasional crowds and couples making out, dragging you like a rag doll.
Petrified, you didn't dare object. Ace was known for having his mean streaks, but it was one of the reasons that you loved him. His seriousness, his emotion.
But now, you had no escape.
Soon enough, you were in an empty hallway, with no one around. The only sound that you and Ace could hear was the beat of the music.
You leaned against a wall, and stared at Ace, who dropped his gaze and stared at the floor, his arms behind his back, biting his lip carefully.
"You needed to talk to me?" You say, with a mocking tone. It was ridiculous that after 15 years, Ace had come running back to you.
"I did. And I will."
An awkward pause ran between the two of you, for what seemed like hours on end.
"It's been too long, Ace. I don't know if I can do this anymore. Just the fact that you gave up on me after 3 years of dating is still awful."
The words come pouring out of your mouth, like tea from a kettle. All your nothings seemed to be placed before him on a silver platter.
"But you miss me."
Your mouth goes dry at Ace's words.
"What's that?"
He smirks at you, getting closer and closer, making your heart beat faster and faster.
"I said, 'you miss me.'"
"How do you know?"
"Word goes around. Eventually all of our secrets will be told. There's no stopping that."
"I hate the fact that you do this to people. You do this to every girl you've fucked. I hate the fact that our relationship didn't mean anything, and it never will!"
"AND I HATE THE FACT THAT YOU THINK I NEVER LOVED YOU!"
He shouts until his voice has cracked, tired of yelling. The sound of his shouts echoes through the hallway.
He looks down again, and turns his face out of view.
Tears threaten to come out, but you hold them back, unable to cry in front of Ace.
"John..." You whisper, his real name sounding strange on your lips.
He looks up to acknowledge you, tears streaking his pale cheeks, and brightening his blinding, blue eyes.
"I still love you, (Y/N)..."
You come to his side to kiss his cheek. To forgive and forget. To live and not learn.
What mattered to you two hours ago slowly turned into dust. What mattered to you now was only one thing.
Ace loves you.
"I still do too."

This wasn't my best, I'm sorry. The ideas sound better in my head than on paper, sometimes.
