"Mommy wake up"

I open my eyes to see my 6 year old daughter looking over me.

"Good morning sweetheart" I said attacking her with a tickle.

"Mommy stop!!" She laughed.

"Okay but only if you promise me not to wake me up at 7 in the morning" I said to her.

"Fine fine!" She happily says as I let her go.

"Mommy where is Aunt Ariel?" Isabella asked.

"She's in her room, how about you wake her up?" I said staring into her blue eyes.

"Okay" she says leaving the room.

I just sat on my bed taking a deep breath.

I should start off and introduce myself.

I'm Melissa Stewart, i'm 21 years old and i'm from Calgary.

You may be wondering how I have a daughter at such a young age.

You see I met this boy in Calgary, his name was William Nylander.

We grew up next to each other and were the best of friends.

Until we made a stupid decision at 15 years old.

Days later I found out I was pregnant.

I was going to tell him but then he broke up with me and his family moved to Sweden and I haven't seen him ever since.

That stupid decision happened to be one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Isabella Ali Nylander Stewart is my daughter that I raised alone with the help of my friend Ariel.

Isabella and I moved in with Ariel here in Toronto about 2 months ago.

Ariel was there through all the hard times i've had.

Isabella does ask where her father is but I just tell her that he is somewhere and is happy.

I do tell some stories about William to Isabella.

She laughs every time I tell her but when I leave her in bed I can hear her crying.

It breaks my heart to hear my daughter in pain all because of me.

She deserves to have a father that cares about her and at least knows she exists.

Unfortunately her dad left because he wanted to be "happy".

Every time I look at her I can see the resemblance between her and William.

She has beautiful blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

She had that William smile that makes me happy.

She looks so much like her father but sadly she doesn't know that.
