**Authors Note:
Sorry this one is on the shorter end! Literally 95% of the Countdown arc is Naruto's training to control the Nine-Tails and since Rin's not here I didn't want to focus to much on that.
So, this is the close of the Fourth Shinobi War: Countdown Arc and next chapter will begin the Fourth Shinobi War: Confrontation!
I have lots of things planned for the upcoming arc and I'm hella excited.
So please comment, vote and enjoy!

**Meditating Vision**
It was that person again. The one I could see but also could not see. They had begun appearing at the corners of my sight after I had allowed the Jubi to take control willingly. At first, I thought it was a trick of the eye or the Jubi trying to take my attention from the tasks at hand but they had begun to appear more often. Their presence made my skin crawl but it was also strangely familiar. However, every time I attempted to focus on them Itachi would appear, blocking the way. He wouldn't say anything but his mangekyo would be active and I knew well enough that the look in his eyes meant no.
"Why won't you let me see past you?" I questioned.
"You cannot let the Jubi tempt you Rin. It will you weaken your will against him. I know what he has offered but I am not worthy of that sacrifice." He replied, changing the subject.
"Does this have to do with the person you hide?" I asked.
"You have done enough for me Rin, please accept this. Your focus should be on preparing to face Madara and Sasuke in battle"
"Itachi," I said firmly.
"What are you trying to protect me from?" I demanded and he seemed surprised.
"If I listen to the Jubi, if I bring you back then you can't stand between me and whoever that it. So, who are you afraid of?" I was a little startled when he was suddenly closer, still blocking my vision of the third individual.
"Some things are better left unanswered Rin" He replied and I sighed, frustrated.
"Itachi..." I noticed him glance over his shoulder.
"It's time for you to go"
**End**
I rubbed my forehead, annoyed that he didn't let me question him further. Sakura was leaning against the post staring at some birds in the distance, my current supervisor for training. Under the order of the Raiikage and with the agreement of Lady Tsunade, I would always have supervision. Most of our forces have been moved in preparation for battle, and my training was now in Kumogakure to be closer to the field. I had yet to be placed in a division. It depended on which skills they wanted to use, dark chakra was better with long-range attacks which would place me in the long-range battle division under Gaara and Shikamaru's command. Anything else would be short to mid-range which would keep me with Kakashi. Seeing as I had already gone against their wishes to participate, I wasn't about to step on more toes and demand a placement wherever I wanted.
"Is the meditation helping, or?" Sakura asked as she looked back at me.
"You asked that five minutes ago" I reminded and she shrugged.
"Kakashi-Sensei asked me to keep an eye on your progress while he's busy with preparations. I'm just doing my job" She replied and I jumped off the post. Normally I would request Neji but he's been a little off the past few days. He insisted it was nerves about the war, to which I replied since when does the genius Neji Hyuuga get nervous.
