Chapter 9: Rin Uchiha [Shippuden]

Naruto

I wanted to speak with Rin alone. I wanted to give her a hug. I wanted to tell her I knew and that I was going to do everything I could to help her. I wanted to do a lot of things, but I also knew she wouldn't be in the mood to speak about her clan, or Sasuke, or the beast that linked us.

"What's taking so long?" Ino complained.

"Kakashi-Sensei probably wanted to be clear on a few things that happened, she'll be here soon" I replied trying to ease the tension. Shikamaru had gathered the gang faster than expected and we were all waiting on Rin.

"What if she got caught up with Lord Hiashi, or ran into my Dad?" Shikamaru questioned.

"She said she'd be here, so she'll..."

"I'm here, I'm here I just wanted to change" I turned as Rin approached, she was in her ANBU uniform, her mask tilted to the side so we could see her face.

"Make sure we're aware of your superiority?" Shikamaru accused and Rin rolled her eyes.

"I was sweaty and gross Shikamaru, it's what happens when your actually involved in a battle and not hiding in the shadows" She snapped, venom in her words. I almost wanted to snicker but held back as Rin stopped beside me. She glanced at me and I offered a small smile which she didn't return.

"I'll assume you'll be relaying this back to your clan Heads so I'll be clear and concise in my explanations. To begin I'd rather you all hear this from me, so here it is" She began.

"I host the spirit of the ten-tailed beast" An eruption of disbelief followed her words and I gave her arm a reassuring squeeze as she patiently waited for them to quiet down.

"Some of you may have encountered it already, during the three tails retrieval and again when Pein killed Kakashi"

"Your two chakra's" Rin glanced at Neji who was looking at her with his byakugan activated. Rin nodded.

"Neji caught on earlier than the rest of you but I'm sure even Lady Hinata had suspicions after my little encounter with the sealing team" Rin went on.

"So, when you tried to kill us..."

"I wasn't in control" Rin interrupted Tenten

"I wasn't aware at the time that this was inside me, I only discovered it during the battle with Pein. I have better control now but he has his moments" Rin explained.

"And this leads me to the second thing that I'm sure you're all curious about, and that is Sasuke" Rin continued and the others were once again silent.

"It's true, Sasuke attacked the summit..."

"And what were you doing there?" Shikamaru asked and Rin glanced at him, I noticed her lips purse before she relaxed again.

"I'm sorry but that's classified, even to your family heads. Why I was there is between Lady Tsunade and me" She said calmly. Shikamaru seemed dissatisfied with her answer but I knew Rin wasn't going to say anything else as she went on with her explanations.

"Sasuke attacked the summit but he was only after Danzo. As I told your respective Heads I would deal with Sasuke. Danzo left as soon as Sasuke arrived, and when he left so did Sasuke. I followed" She went on.

"Danzo engaged Sasuke in battle and..."

"And you helped kill him" Kiba spat. Rin glared up at him and I noticed Jazmine's annoyed look.

"Let her finish!" She scolded.

"That is what you told us, you helped Sasuke killed Danzo!" Kiba accused and Jazmine shoved his arm.
