Chapter 11: Rin Uchiha [Shippuden]

Hey guys! Sorry this took long, with the new job and school I have very little free time now but here it is!

Rin

The knocking was persistent and frantic. I groaned slightly as I rolled over and glanced towards the nightstand, the alarm clock read 7 AM.

"Are you kidding me?" I muttered. The knocking became more aggressive and I was slightly startled when I heard a yawn from my left.

"If that's Sakura she'll break down the door" Kakashi muttered. 

"I slept over to avoid an early wake up" I complained but he gently shoved my arm, pushing me towards the edge of his bed.

"It woke you up first, you have to answer" He replied, his voice laced with sleep. I sighed but smiled when I finally sat up. I leaned over and kissed his cheek before I slipped out of bed. I grabbed one of his shirts from the ground and pulled on over my tank top. The date had obviously gone very well, we talked well into the night which lead to the final decision of sleeping over, rather than walking all the way back the compound.

"I know you're home!" The voice shouted from outside, a voice I recognized as Sakura. I stretched before finally unlocking and opening the door.

"Took you long enough Kakashi-Sensei, do you know where..." She paused as she stared at me. I stared back and felt a blush rise to my cheeks as she smirked.

"Rin" She greeted.

"I-It's not what you think, we just..." I tensed when I felt a hand on my shoulder and glanced up at Kakashi. Sakura's smirk only grew as she eyed the both of us.

"What is it Sakura?" He questioned patiently.

"Oh, um I was looking for Rin, Neji said she went out with you last night and since she wasn't at the compound I came here" She explained.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"Lady Tsunade wants to speak with you, immediately," She said urgently and I nodded.

"Okay, I just need a few minutes to get ready" Sakura nodded.

"Be quick" I closed the door at glanced at Kakashi who merely shrugged.

"They were bound to find out eventually" He replied and I nodded.

"I know, now get ready. You're coming with me"

"She requested one of us" He pointed out.

"Yeah but she'll probably want to speak with you as well" He mulled it over before nodding.

"You're probably right"

"I know, now hurry up"

I walked alongside Kakashi, occasionally taking his hand to speed up our pace. We were already running late, thanks to him. It was in these moments that it was hard to believe his speed was on par with Gai's or Itachi's. When not on a mission he seemed to have only one pace, a stroll.
