Kakashi

Rin had fallen asleep somewhere into the walk. While I knew, she was exhausted it made me nervous that her 'other side' would take advantage of this. However, so far, she had slept soundly. I made sure to monitor her chakra regardless. Though, her sleeping had given Kiba the opportunity he needed to rant about the Sasuke issue.

"Why is no one else concerned that Rin, the ex-criminal, just helped her criminal brother kill our Kage?" Kiba demanded.

"He was only a temp and besides Rin has her reasons, she's one of us now" Sakura said confidently.

"If she was really one of us then why won't she share her reasons?" Kiba demanded.

"Rin works for the ANBU, she was hand picked by Lady Tsunade so there are probably things she can't share with us anymore." Sakura argued.

"Sakura is right" Sai interrupted unexpectedly. He was the last person I thought that would come to Rin's defense.

"Technically we shouldn't even be aware of Rin's ANBU status, they are normally given different names and aren't allowed to interact with old comrades. Rin probably rejected this proposal but it doesn't change the fact that she is our superior, and like many of our superiors she doesn't have to share anything with us at all. So we should be glad she still trusts in some way" Sai explained and Kiba sighed.

"Alright but I was the one that tracked down Sasuke and for what!? Sai babbled it all and Rin helped him get away"

"Kiba, just shut it. Man, up and stop whining!" Naruto shouted back.

"Speak for yourself, you're the one that went on a rant Naruto!" Kiba countered.

"Huh? What's that?"

"Kiba's right about that, you're way to simple minded to form complex thoughts" Sai taunted.

"What's your problem!? When did you develop a sense of humor!?" Naruto shot back.

"Why thank you" Sai replied with a grin.

"I wasn't being nice!" Naruto objected earning a laugh from Lee.

"What bushy brow?"

"Oh nothing, you're just starting to seem like your old self again Naruto" Lee replied.

"He means you haven't grown up at all" Kiba corrected.

"Once an idiot, always an idiot!" He added.

"You guys are so loud" I glanced to my side as Rin yawned. She rubbed her eyes and I boosted her up a little.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Better" She replied but it was like her mind was else where as she looked around.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Karin, can you sense that?" She asked, ignoring my question. Karin focused for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah, first one will be our left" I tensed as we turned, but a Leaf ANBU was all that stood before us. We were all silent.
