**Authors Note:
Hello!
Sorry, this has taken a million years. I've had a lot of personal stuff going on lately but I'm so thankful for your patience!
I will be releasing two chapters today, or at least one today and one tomorrow. I am really excited about where we are in the story and have a lot of great things coming up for Rin! Including some much-waited reunions and a little face to face with the real Madara :)
Also, I refer to the swordsmen by the swords they use so just to avoid some confusion here are the three featured in this chapter:
Kabutowari - This is the one that has the hammer/blade combo
Nuibari - The one that works like a needle and thread
Shibuki - The one with the scroll full of explosive tags attached to it
Now Without further interruption here you are!
Please comment, vote and enjoy! :)

Kakashi
I had ordered everyone to rest. Most were grateful for this, but Rin chose instead to meditate for hours on one of the lower branches of a nearby tree. I looked up at her, at the black chakra circling her fists. She always said that her dark ninjutsu was easier to use at night, but what jutsu she was attempting to use, I didn't know.
"Rin" I called and she released a slow breath as she lowered her legs on either side of the branch. I jumped up to join her.
"Meditation can be just as good as sleeping" She replied. Her eyes opened as she looked up at me, even in the dim light I could see that the white in her eyes had darkened.
"Besides I passed out for at least an hour so we're even" She added as I sat in front of her. She pulled her leg over the branch as she scooched closer to me.
"Why won't you sleep?" I asked.
"You should be the one resting, you've been using your Sharingan all day." She countered.
"With your help, my stamina has only gotten better. Stop deflecting." Kakashi replied, earning an eye roll.
"I'm still young, I can sleep when I'm dead. You on the other hand, well how close are you to retirement?" I nudged her side and she laughed in response.
"I let you tease me. Do I get a real response now?" I asked, and she sighed as she glanced towards the sky.
"We're in the middle of a war. I have two dead and two living family members running around out there somewhere and I can't decide if the dead ones or the live ones are worse. Plus sleeping leaves, me vulnerable to the Jubi taking over" She listed.
"You're trying to reach out to them" I realized, and she nodded.
"Sasuke is close but he is the least of my concern" She replied watching as the sun began to rise.
"Sasuke is close?" I replied.
"Yes, but I'm looking for bigger fish. My Dad, Itachi, and especially Madara. The troops will need more help with the Uchiha that can't be killed over the one that can."
"Madara is alive, he can be killed" I reminded, and Rin scoffed as she stretched.
"Please, even you know he can't be killed by just anyone."
"And you think you can?" I asked but surprisingly she shrugged.
"I mean if I could hit him probably, but he isn't always there physically a-and I don't even know what my Dad is capable of."
